Judging by the reaction to Ant-Man turning up I reckon it could be a few years. I don’t think they’d be asking if it was an old recording if it was only a few months.

If Tony's food supply has only just ran out at the start of the film than I doubt it will have been years

Yeah, what was it 2 years of house arrest? And he says in the trailer that he met cap a few years ago - so I agree with a few months max.

So many think ant man scene is from the past

It will be weird for them to leave Thanos with all that power for years...it should be a few months.

Even a few weeks wouldn't seem out of place because it should literally take a few minutes to realise what has happened to those that disappeared then you should be planning your attack on Thanos for like a week or something since they're all super heroes.

Few years seems a bit much.

But is Thanos still a threat? At the end of the day he achieved what he wanted to do. He has ditched his armour (on the scarecrow now) and perhaps that symbolises his retirement from the universe?

Do they even have the ability to find him anyway? To actually get to him? Long distance spacecraft aren't on every street corner.

Thanos is still a threat to the status quo. Shield will never rest until that sort of power is in their hands.

I think the time difference will be between a few days to a few weeks. A year is too big of a gap to fill in and not leave gaping plot holes.

As far as Thanos goes, I suspect that he will be living out his days on his farm until the avengers manage to turn back time and bring him back to the point in Wakanda.

Thanos has achieved his goal so him having all the power for years unchallenged doesn’t matter much. But it probably is a few months like most are saying.
