It’s just a Trailer… peeps just excited to see Superman back on the big screen.
But, I think March is when we can really start to crunch the numbers. But for now, not expecting much, I actually don’t want him to give much away.

It's more than that, it's a chance to get a first look at the DCU in live action. And yeah I don't expect they'll give the whole film away in a first trailer.

I agree.

Superman will be the flagship of Gunns DC. If this movie doesn't do well, he will be under huge pressure and his universe may get cancelled before it had a chance.

I liked the Man of steel trailers so I am curious to see what Gunn will produce. They need to show something worth our time.

How much more superman can they do really..
It'll be hard to top man of steel, which in my opinion was top class.

We've had superman and Lois, superman 1,2,3 and 4.
Man of steel.
Dean cains supes.
Superman returns.
Smallville.

Nic cage, possibly the best superman to date.

They need to do something that hasn't been done before otherwise it's just going to be the same chit, done by another egotistical director who thinks he's gods gift

Hurzah! But the one before that wasn’t an Origin story…
But it was just too soft. Routh was a decent Supes I thought.

Aesthetically, I don't think anyone will top Cavill's Superman...but lets not pretend like that Superman was even remotely interesting in any way

Brian Singer's Superman was too much love story and not enough action. I say love story although Superman basically becomes a stalker in the movie lol.

Singer is totally responsible for that though. He could and should have made the movie for like his X-Men movies and given us more action and more edge. Instead we got a seen it all before Lex Luther, kryptonite storyline.

The movie did actually get a sequel greenlit at one point but obviously that never ended up happening. Shame as Routh was a good Superman. He just needed to be in a better movie

You both make fair points, that’s hard to disagree with.
And even though I don’t know this actor or remember him in anything..I then think, I’d never knew of Cavil before Man of Steel, or Routh before his Superman.

So... let’s hope Gunn gets a good performance from David. Hope it’s a banger of a film
