Lacklustre trailer.

The music was the best part of the trailer. I don't like the suit or the look of David as Superman. The action shots felt underwhelming and the addition of other DC heroes will only dilute the movie in my opinion. I needed more aerial shots and the colour looks off to me.

Looks cheesy as fck.

You look at the last Batman reboot and it's both novel in plot and grounded in real life characters despite being a superhero film.

This is a throwback to pre 'Batman Begins' type DC characters and plot.

There's not been a decent Superman film in decades. The question.that's being missed is do we really need another Superman movie?

Maybe he's a one dimensional superhero of the 50's and 70's and that's where he belongs. Maybe just maybe Superman is simply not a great superhero.

Superman is supposed to be cheesier and less grounded than Batman.

Also Man of Steel was a good Superman film.

Yeh but the cheese has all been done before. Which is why I think as a character he's of his time and done.

When you get to Scrappy Doo levels of character introductions it's time to call it a day.

Agree there tbf. How many of those would translate well to a major movie? I can't see stories like All star or For the man who has everything quite working.

If I had to pick a couple, Secret identity would be very interesting to do, as would Superman for all seasons told from the perspective of other characters. Still not sure they would work on the big screen and it's why we get a general rehash of the commercially driven same old same old.

She looks far more the part than Amy Adams did. Not to say Adams wasn't good, she's an excellent actress.

New type of role and no real danger in doing so imo.

Didn't harm any actresses does it? Johanssen? Anne Hathaway, not going to harm Zendaya. Anya will still get plenty of decent roles.
