Loving the whole look and feel of the film.

Nice to have a trailer that doesn't give everything away. And no teaser for the trailer in the first few seconds

This was the biggest pushback i saw from fans before Joker came out. That a backstory ruins the character

I would say though that both A Killing Joke and now the Joker film are both well received works so its not a disaster necessarily when they try doing a backstory

True, and backstories are always a potential new angle for stories so i can see why people try to create them.

Problem with Batman and SpiderMan though for instance is everyone knows their backstories and never wants to see another alleyway or dead uncle again

Im all for more Alan Moore level darkness

People like dark Batman movies, there's no reason to change the formula so to speak.

This one is aiming to be kind of cerebral and more detective focused, which is a nice change because we have Brawler Batman a lot now.

I'd give us 6/10 in terms of performances this season.

To be fair if your expectations were higher then that's disappointing, but to me that's 'alright' rather than 'awful' or 'good' which is what Nick is weighing up.

Well this has horror vibes - at least as much as 12A certificates permit in a superhero movie

Arkham Asylum is interesting as that was a big part of the now aborted Batfleck Movie. Deathstroke would discover Bruce's identity - terrorise his loved ones and then lure him into some violent third act cat and mouse game in Arkham Asylum.

I recently bought all the Arkham games as I have a PC that can actually handle gameplaying now - £3 each on offer on steam. Bargain.

Never played the prequel one - Origins...

Problem with Arkham Asylum as a movie is you will lose the full cast of villains that the game can do

A batman movie of him having to solve one of joker's shenanigans by visiting his rogues gallery in Arkham would deffo be green lit if the script justified it.

If you could get A-listers to play each of the roles in the movie even more so.

Very interesting to see what Marvel fanboys think about this trailer.

Seems the consensus is good, especially as Marvel wouldn't make a movie like this.

Looks naff. Character worked for one liners and the odd moment in a movie, but a whole series of it?

I thought the character was a very good villain tbf, I am not sure I want a whole series on him though.
