Apparently Harry Styles has joined the MCU.

I was expecting better

Marvel have somewhat run out of post credit reveal steam

Does it not feel like we are in the scraping the barrel part of the MCU

Im know they are taking something of a breather and doing some passion project stuff like Shang Chi but damn

They're still coasting on Endgame, and as nothing can ever be as big as that I think they are trying to experiment more with their introductions to new characters/stories.

This could be a good thing. As I do think the movies were compromised as individual films in places in order to maintain momentum for the bigger Thanos arc.

I agree with NPE in terms of movies being compromised for Thanos, fair few plot points decided by throwaway lines cos they didn't have to be addressed but didn't make any sense I really.

I also think having a wait since Endgame aside from Spidey is a good thing. Personally I enjoyed watching it all build upto that climax but once it was done I felt a little bit empty and was happy to not have to keep up with it all.

By now I'm ready to watch them from a more positive space

Mind you, he wasn't terrible in Dunkirk. But still.

Well there are bigger villains than Thanos but they wont execute them as well

It is very annoying that DC has better villains in their IPs and wont be able to fecking do them justice

Though admittedly some of the good Marvel ones have been fecked up repeatedly

This is a transitionary phase and I think most expected a come down after Endgame. Now it's all about introducing new faces and putting the gears in motion fkr the next big arc. X men and F4 are on the horizon too, so the future is definitely bright.

Bloody hell, Harry Styles? What kind of a spoiler is that?! Go on, who is he playing?

The MCU and Kevin Feige have good credit with me, so I feel like they can do Dr Doom and Apocalypse justice.

He's the best shout for the next overarching villain imo. And it could be a case of building him from scratch

DC can't even get their heroes right.

I would do Apocalypse the same as Thanos, he's like a myth basically that is mentioned in passing numerous times

Doom it would be a complete arc following his character progression very closely

I think they will do Dr Doom justice. The casting for that role needs to be perfect. Although the casting thus far has been very good.

Issue with Apocalypse tends to be the overlap with Dark Phoenix. Im not sure anyone wants to see Jean going postal again, its one of my least favourite 'legendary' comic storylines

Dr Doom should be an ever present threat in my opinion. Build him up, have the F4 defeat him but not kill him. We can then see him regroup and come for revenge later down the line.
