Endgame writers explaining a lot of decisions around the film, including that all-women team up:

Good read, awful website
That site has been known to give away minor spoilers in the past but I still find it the best source of CBM news
I used to follow a bloke on Twitter then he suddenly turned his account into that site and ruined all his good work.
Cant believe I didn't bring this up in the anime discussion
Are we all looking forward to the live action pokemon film?
Cause there's also a Sonic the Hedgehog live action film with a trailer and it looks like warm aids
Detective Pikachu looks ok, that sonic trailer makes me want to throw up over myself
Pikachu sounds like Deadpool to me. Might not be a bad thing.

Just seen it. Jeez how bad was that.
Just one question regarding Endgame (SPOILERS)
Didn't Okoye (from Black Panther) live in Infinity War?
How come she only came back with Black Panther?
I don't remember her at all at the beginning of the movie. Did she die in Infinity War? I read that she lived, so I don't understand why she was not with the rest of the survivors.

Pretty sure she survived while Black Panther disappeared. She was there at the beginning (5 years later) as a hologram from Wakanda.
A bit harsh to leave her out of the whole movie, wasn't it?
If they want more equality, surely this was a great chance to give a female a larger role.
Are there any other examples of this? A survivor who didn't feature in the movie.
Did Black Panther sister survive Infinity war?

Saw it last night, loved it. I thought it wrapped the whole thing up brilliantly and it didn't feel like a hugely long movie.
For the all female scene, I had a wee groan but I don't really see how it detracts from the film. If anything, my only criticism is the fact that all these characters seemed to think that Captain Marvel needed any help all all after watching her single-handedly destroy a massive spaceship. If it was me I'd have just stood back and went "aye, on you go hen".
I don’t deny it, my favourite superhero movies were the first 2 Superman films, loved the Spider-Man (and his amazing friends) and Hulk cartoons of the 80s, this is what I grew up with.
I loved Batman Begins ( as it felt like an origin story), the other Nolan movies were very good but didn’t feel super.
I think I’m the only one to like the 1st Thor and the 1st Captain America more than their respective sequels. Loved Hulk in the first Avengers movies. Am a fan of origin stories, powers and secret identities being protected.
However, I can still enjoy the recent superhero movies, I actually loved Infinity War and particularly what they did with Thor (especially when he landed in Wakanda). That’s why I was so disappointed with what happens to him in Endgame. But that’s just my opinion and I respect yours.

You sound like my wife who didn't like fat Thor cos it reminded her of me
It wasn't only a small number of people that hated Fat Thor, I can assure you of that.

Do we all think they're going to continue with fat Thor in which ever movie he is in next?....While I like fat Thor in Endgame, that's not the Thor we must see going forward.
Unless there is a gym in Starlord spaceship then yes he will still be fat.

For me, Thor's fatness was a result of poor mental health and fits in with what happens to many when their feelings of self-worth are destroyed. He slipped into apathy, gorging himself, not looking after himself physically because he was suffering mentally.
Therefore the logic is that, now he has regained his self-worth, he'll now get back to fitness and look after himself properly....although obviously in the real world it's significantly harder to break through those barriers and get back to your best health. So I expect Fat Thor to be discontinued.
As ever though, it'll be based on what tests better with audiences.
