Mateja Kezman: “It is normal for Sergej to be interesting some very large clubs. But, there is no agreement with any club.” [La Lazio Siamo Noi]
Hmm..
Sergej has been nicknamed “Sergente" in Italy and it’s easy to see why. At 6ft 4in, he is an imposing figure in midfield who has won more aerial duels (190) than any other player in Serie A since the start of last season. He is an incredibly versatile performer, who is adept as one of the three midfielders in a 4-3-3 formation or behind the striker in a 4-2-3-1.

Yes, apparently they're the tallest nation on earth

welcome to manchester
Believe it when I see it on BBC and less so SKY Sports news. Until then it's pure gossip.
If we're signing an attacking CM this summer, which he undoubtedly is, then it would seem Monsieur Pogba is off.
But more importantly - can he dab or do the Milly Rock?

Absolutely ridiculous comment. Its unfathomable for a team who is now playing with 3cm to have two of them that can attack? It's almost like man city don't have Silva and de bruyne in midfield? It's almost like we need more goals

Aye, tbf I don’t mind having a “big man” option in the final third but he has to be good enough to play for a CL team with domestic title aspirations.
Fellaini was a Moyes panic but who is one of, if not the, least technically gifted forward players I’ve ever seen at United and he thinks he can demand a new contract and claims we “went wrong” in not giving him one.
He’s half-way to a testimonial ffs.
I’ve literally never heard of this Milinkovic-Savic kid but if he ushers Fellaini our the door then get him to the club.
As his name has been mentioned a few times on here, we're all aware he isn't someone in hi late twenties to early thirties.
I guess the Op is against this signing as he isn't "experienced" and hasn't played under Jose before. Two criteria that the Op likes to harp on about.

Yeah but Silva and kdb work hard for team when they don't have ball. Pogba doesn't. Its just not part of his game.
Matic + 2 attacking cm's will be awful for us. Matic isn't mobile enough to cover them.
Also we have Jose Mourinho.
At 6ft 4in...

That explains it.
If Man U sign him. Wow. What a player. What Pogba should have been.

Yawn
I want us to sign a mix of players. Not all young, not all old
This guy (if he’s as good as they say) would be a good signing age wise to compliment any older signings we make
For those whinging that this means that Pogba is going or that they won't be able to play together, the article states, "he is at his best when given the box-to-box role in a 4-3-3 formation."
I've never seen him but a player who excels in the box-to-box role of a midfield 3 is exactly the kind of player we need to play in a three with Matic and Pogba.
You would almost think people didn't actually read the article and just wanted to talk the same dung they always do.
Patriarch
That's just nonsense you've just typed. Utter nonsense.
Surely it depends on who the players you have in that 3 not just any 3 midfielders? Or are you saying it doesn't matter?
Like somebody eluded to above if it works for City it could work for us is also utter drivel. For starters KDB n David Silva work very hard for the team off the ball, Pogba sadly doesn't.
So no I don't think he's the kind of player who will work in a 3 if Paul Pogba is one of them sadly.
