I feel like putting tall players on against Japan is cheating. Needs a no over head height rule like in 5-a-side.
3-2 Belgium. I think Belgium are going to take some beating in this competition.
Sign of champions that Gem
I think Belgium might come unstuck against a good team. Martinez still can’t organise a defence.
The thing they have going for them is the plan B with Fellaini and the ability to get balls in the box when they need a goal.
What a game that was though.
They have a few players that can win a game
Feel for Japan but naivety did for them

Yeah, so do France and Brazil though. I think Belgium look like they can concede at any time. They got stretched quite a few times tonight. Clinical players like Neymar, Coutinho and Jesus or Mbappe and Griezmann won’t be so forgiving.
Start of the tourney I fancied France or Spain. Think France are the most complete unit
Very open tournament really. France, Brazil, Belgium all capable of winning it. One of them could meet the winners of the Columbia v England game in the final.
My pre tournament bet went on Brazil and they are getting better by the game
My problem with Brazil is that Neymar isn’t very likeable.
His theatrics when the guy trod on his ankle were an embarrassment. Good player though, and Real rumoured to be ready to give PSG a healthy profit if they are up for selling him
Very cringey watching that today from Neymar, would hate one of ours to act that way.
pain France was my final Tino and yeah i think France are the most complete side thus far but agree with DJ that Brazil seem to be getting better and they are in control pretty much throughout their games really.
England have a massive opportunity to reach the final, Croatia the biggest threat in their entire half at this point.

Big opportunity for Colombia too. They are a decent side and probably on par with England. I'm not overly optimistic about tonight to be honest.

We have about 1 hour to post 898 comments then because 1966 was the year of a memorable English victory
England currently joint 4th favourites at 6/1 to win the WC.
“Fosun continues to be successful with revenues of £3.7 billion in the first half of the year and profits of £502 million. Almost half of its income comes from large insurance businesses in China, the USA and Portugal. The business is expanding into Brazil, Russia and India.”
Magnifico, was it ever in doubt? And Sweden are surely beatable.
Even forgetting my English bias, a team that uses tactics like Columbia deserve to win nothing.
Well played England, well done Sothgate
In an ideal world both sides would be out, one for being dirty cheating feckers and the other for playing a style of football that is based on balls into the box.
Sweden England will be diabolical
That Yerry Mina looks a player. At Barcelona so no chance we would get him, but imagine him and Boly either side of Coady.
