Only shaved it off didn't he Grew his hair out as well, we won't recognize him

I see that Jota no longer has 'Silver' on the back of his shirt but has changed to 'Diogo J'
Now this may be wishful thinking but is that because the club are expecting another player to come in with the name Silver?

thats what I hope Gem lad, but the efl rule is that the shirt name name has to be the surname.

I think the expectation this summer was quality not quantity so I don’t expect loads more signings but I do hope for two or three to come in that will make a difference. After all the good work last season it would be disappointing if they under estimate the step up from Championship to Premier

I know that Nuno likes a fairly small squad of around 25 but I think our is still looking a bit thin in certain areas. This is our current first team squad :

Goal Keepers- Ruddy, Patricio, Norris
Centre Backs – Coady, Boly, Bennett, Batth, Miranda, Hause, Ofosu-Ayeh
Wing Backs – Doherty, Douglas, Vinagre
Central Mid Fielders – Neves, Saiss, Gibbs-White
Wing Forwards – Cavaleiro, Jota, Costa
Strikers – Bonatini, Jimenez, Mir, Enobakhare

With big question marks hanging over Ofosu-Ayeh and Mir and to a lesser extent over Bonatini and Jimenez, we still could be lacking in the striking department, and we still need a back-up for Doherty.
Most of all it is the central midfield that bothers me, we surely need another top class midfielder at the very least.

Afuso-Ayeh is a right wing back but whether he is a good enough or fit enough wing back we are yet to see

Don’t think Miranda will be here next season, and maybe not Cavaleiro.

I would put enobakhare down as an attackng midfield player more than striker, and Mir has to improve a lot to be considered first team squad.

To be confident in all positions I think we need competition for Bennett and for Doherty. Good quality central midfield and striker. And a replacement for Cavaleiro if he goes

Just reading that Ofuso-Ayeh has a brother who is also a right back and like our guy before we signed him, plays in the German second division

It'll be interesting to see what the squad will be in the Swiss tournament. Not sure if any of those involved in the WC will be a part of it. But hopefully we'll see Mir and Ben Stevenson (our 21 year old midfielder we got from Coventry) get some game time.
