Genuinely think England are going to a world cup final
Wolves have been linked with their midfield player Quintero who looked their most creative player. Happy to see him with Jota and Costa
Pace and drive through the centre
Were looking at a 100 man squad
Mina is leaving Barcelona apparently Tam.
As for England, they Sweden and Croatia all of about equal ability really when it is all weighed up. I was surprised at how England basically look pretty good for twenty mins just like against Tunisia and then from nowhere lose all grip on the game, dunno how much Colombia's shenanigans had an effect on that but Colombia were hopeless to be honest and had no business getting to penalties.

Get him in. He’d love Douglas’ set pieces.
Remember when we were linked with Harry Maguire?
People said Batth was better too.

I don't think there's too much in it. Maguire is good if he can get his massive nut on the ball but anything on the deck and he's useless. Surprised teams haven't tried to exploit his lack of pace and mobility.
However today's not for whinging.
I thought Magiire was our best player last night. A rock at the back and even stepped forward into midfield to lift the team in the final period of extra time.
Don’t think Sweden are as good as Columbia and have little to offer up front so I am confident we can see them off. Croatia are decent but England getting to the final looks a realistic proposition now
Cinci - you are the epitome of the sad, bitter Scot with a huge chip on your shoulder. You have as much right to comment on England at World Cups as Alan Hansen did. Your national team is the laughing stock of the UK let alone the rest of the world.

Really? Maguire is very good on the deck. Probably our best defender and midfielder last night. I think its good to see England playing with ball playing centre halves.

I agree Sweden aren't as good as Colombia. I think we will find it a more difficult game though as Sweden are more likely to get men behind the ball and be difficult to break down. I expect it to be quite dull for the neutral.
Certainly Sweden are a 'hard to beat' team so it wont be easy in that respect, but they don't score many. The Mexico game was the only time in their last 13 games that they have scored more than once. We will get a lot of the ball and I think we have the forwards to find a goal or two, and two, or possibly even one, is likely to be enough.

Henderson hasn't been on the losing side for England in his last 28 games, longest run in English history.

Despite the flack he gets, I actually like him as a player. He performs a specific role for the team and is actually quite good at it. One of those players that allows more creative players in the side more freedom and will always be under-appreciated by fans but will get selected by most managers.
I knew he was going to miss that penalty though.
Most of the flack is from inter club rivalry though isn't it, you read threads on here and it is embarrassing at times, Spurs v Liverpool v Utd etc etc.
No doubt Spurs stepped up last night in the shoot out to shut a few Liverpool fans up.
