Been an eye opener today seeing how many people we have never seen post on the Wolves board before rock up and take a pop, we obviously have them a little bit worried and they are jumping on while they can
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lol all you need to worried about is getting to 40 points.
Gutless performance against 10 men there for the taking. We'd of got smashed last season under those circumstances.

Shame jags got sent off but a draw was a fairly predictable result given our awful pre-season. Some positives from the game and a lot to come from our new signings who didn't play. Feeling rather optimistic overall.

Good result for Wolves tonight against big spending Everton
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You predicted 3-0 your fecking idiot, so how is it a good point against 10 men.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wolves were really poor, the big occasion got to their players. They should be pleased to come away with a point against a team that has vastly outspent them
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Most teams would be happy with a draw when reduced to 10 men for 50 min away from home. I would have taken the draw before the game knowing only one of our new signings would be starting,I was very disappointed with the result after the game.

The only one I know is Traore, so I can't really judge the others. I wouldn't have minded Traore, but from what I've seen he can be brilliant one minute and none-effective the next. He wasn't very good the last time he was in the Prem and the fact that Barca never triggered the buy-back clause yet they did on Deulofeu is telling considering Gerry never set the world alight at Goodison.

Richarlison had a good game to be fair. If he can be consistent this season he will be top signing for you guys.
Thought the rest of your side was pretty ordinary today though. It helped a lot that we were slow in moving the ball about the pitch and a bit more negative than we usually seem in the final third (we usually attack with pace).
I think it might be a positive for you that Jagielka will be suspended, as it forces the manager to put Yerry Mina in for the next game. You did some good business on deadline day and look organised; so that bit of class will make a big difference.

Wolves were slow and negative. Just a little error at the end helped salvage a point for your lads.
Just looking for a ball into the gap behind back four was the tactic I saw.
Maybe the new players from both sides will improve us.
I think you shook be happy with a draw and I think you'll do the best of the promoted teams. I can see Cardiff and Huddersfield going down with maybe Fulham or Brighton but you won't.
I think the occasion got to a few of them to be honest.
Everton showed us a lot of respect and set up to keep an organised shape. We almost set up the same way whilst maintaining possession and it was like watching two away sides. I think we almost expected teams to come at us more.
Disappointing to concede from a set piece but I don’t think Everton’s play really warranted a 1-0 lead at that point. After that, it was more frustrating from us at our set up being so deep and pace of the game being so slow, than us lacking the ability to make something happen. I think if we had made the changes earlier, rather than waiting for Racharlison to score a second; there is a chance we could have taken more than a point.
I think we need to adjust to the Premier League and step up the tempo of our play, but I didn’t see anything today to say we are not competitive at this level.
Agree with you Tam, so many of our players didn’t settle down to play their game today, the occasion got to a few of them. We know Boly, Neves, Costa and Jota can play a lot better than that. But I thought Jimenez was terrific and Bennett the best of the defence. Against decent opposition, happy with a point and encouraged that we got that point despite being well below our best.
Should have put money on it being a score draw...
Neither team seemed to get out of second gear and our passing was so sloppy thoughout the game it was like a different side; pressing too was non existant. Everton didnt cover themselves in any glory either. Their passing was equally as bad and Pickford's distribution was dreadful. I thought Baines was their most consistent player, Richarlison obviously had a good debut so will be interesting to see how he gets on.
It was a typical first game of the season with a point each being fair and both sides will only improve with more minutes on the pitch. You could see the ideas it was the final application that was annoying and from a Wolves perspective playing 5 at the back against 10 men did nothing except invite pressure and eventually Everton's 2nd goal. For situations like that there should be a different set of tactics but early days yet and happy with a point.

John Purdie, that’s a forgotten name from the past. I think he does coaching in that part of the world now. Much of his career after leaving Wolves was in non league I think. Certainly remember him getting a winner for Kidderminster in an FA Cup tie against Birmingham City
Overall I thought Wolves played with confidence, and the fact they came back from being behind twice shows character and the kind of spirit that is needed.
First night nerves seemed evident from Boly, who uncharacteristically was indecisive early on. I'm sure he'll recover from that.
