Just look at the amount of black managers in the top 4 leagues.
Well if you replace BAME with the word white in the article it would be deemed racial discrimination. However it's not really doing any harm is it? So they interview more BAME people, doesn't mean they have to be hired. If they show they have the skills and get a job they otherwise may have been overlooked for then it's only a good thing.

Its ridiculous. The person who gets the job should be the best person for the job. To not even allow a white straight male to apply for a job is ridiculous, he could be the best person for the job. If i placed a job advert for the company i work for saying only accepting applications from white people id be banned from Indeed.

Not something today’s generation in Britain should be judged on, surely?
If the country is X% white/black/ME, shouldn’t most stuff be a similar percentage to that, with anomalies, of course?
Not sure of the percentage of BAME managers in English football but considering we didn’t have black players 30 years ago, it might not be so surprising if that number is below the percentage population.

You're ignoring the centuries of persecution slavery, discrimination and institutional racism that allowed the white people more wealth, better education and opportunities. In order to balance the scales you have to positively discriminate. Yes in the short term you may end up having to select someone who may not be the best, but over generations when the scales are balanced you can get rid of the positive discrimination.
