he's played well a few times, not a lot though. My point is you would never see a hazard performance that bad very often. He might not score or get a direct assist, but he will never lose the ball and get bullied off it so many times either.
I'm sure Hazard wouldn't cope much better against a team like Paris

Which Champions League games has Hazard played well in? Don't mention Super Charity Shield Cup games, actual Champions League games.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So Hazard can't be up there with the best because his CL record isn't great but you rate a keeper who also has no serious CL track record along with history of major feck up's at international level as the world's best keeper?
You contradict yourself more times than Donald Trump
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's not what I was saying. Nicolololopopolopopopolololopolopolopololis was making a point that Salah didn't play well in the Champions League last night, so I was asking him how many time's Hazard has played well in the Champions League.

Im sure i have seen you mock Hazard's CL record before.
Regardless for as long as you rate DDG as the world's best keeper you can't use Hazard's record in major tournaments against him without looking like a massive hypocrite.

No, I was just responding the the point made. You can't mock Salah for not performing in the CL when Hazard hasn't performed in the CL either. That's all I was saying.
I'll filter anyone who disrespects me Brov. You should be careful.
If Hazard isn't a threat why does Mourihnosaurus get his players to kick him out the game and then moan when Herrera was sent off? Just asking. Please don't filter me
Where did I say Hazard wasn't a threat?
I think he's a good player, he just isn't a world class player.
World class just means you're at the top level in your position. If there are players playing either currently or in the past who are just a level above you, then you can't be world class.
Hazard is a level below CR7, Messi, Neymar and Salah, so he's not world class.
I dispute the last two. If you were an alien and came down to watch Belgium v Brazil in the world cup a couple of months ago who would you choose between Neymar and Hazard? Ask most on here to put club bias aside and be honest they would choose Hazard over Neymar I'm sure.
That's just one game though
Not at all he had a better world cup than the rest. To cut him out is harsh and unfair.
The world cup doesn't matter as much as performing consistently year in year out for your club side.
Lampard never scored a goal in a world cup after all....

You quoted half a sentence. I didn't say it doesn't matter at all...
If Neymar and Salah had a better World Cup than Hazard that would be the first thing Erik would have used to peddle his agenda.
Doesn't perform consistently year in year out?
Fook me you can't make this crap up.
Players who have performed consistently for the better part of 5 or 6 years: Hazard, Ronaldo, Messi
Players who have had 1 good season here and there: Salad, Bale, Saurez
Like seriously even the points you make are backed up by nowt
In my opinion Hazard plays more like a midfielder than like a forward. He sometimes positions himself like a forward, but so much of his play is based around building the tempo from midfield that I would not really compare him to Neymar or Salah.
Watching the game tonight you can clearly see how for instance Neymar always stays forward in attack, looking to run in behind. Even under Sari you can see Eden coming a lot into midfield picking the ball up from Jorginho or Luiz and transitioning in attack.
That being said Eden is definitely not perfect; I would consider his weakness the killer pass and crossing. Compare this to Neymar is often threading through the killer pass.
---------------------------------------------------------
Very good post.
For me Hazard has two main weaknesses, and they do hold him back from becoming the perfect advanced midfielder (cos your right about him being more than a typical inside forward).
One's the killer pass you mentioned, he either holds onto the ball for too long or recycles it in the final third. You notice whenever he racks up an asset it's a pass that doesn't require that playmaker's eye, more often than not him being unselfish which leads me to his second weakness, IMO.
He's not selfish enough. In a way it's part of what makes him unique as all the other players in his class bracket aren't, but it can be frustrating. I saw a stat awhile ago that basically said Hazard has the least number of shots among other world class players in his position, yet has just as good a shot conversation rate as any of them (in and outside the box). When you consider how he is a class above anything else we have, you could say he's holding us back by holding himself back as that extra 5/10 a goal he could be bagging could make all the difference (e.g. last year might've been the difference between 5th and 4th... we don't know)
If he fixed those two things then an argument proclaiming him as best player in the world has some weight to it

Sarri appears to think so too. His comments at the weekend about wanting Hazard to play in the last 25 metres of the pitch and not waste energy in deeper positions are poignant
The thing is with hazard, everybody knows he hasn't been played as a forward for us. And has had to do so much more than say a salah or neymar, but that has improved his game to be nearly a perfect midfielder.
Now we will get to see him further forward it will be exciting to watch.
