Bit of a grudge match this one as Leicester robbed us of 3 points last time we met. It would be poetic justice to dump them out of the cup and I think we will.

Boring game

People have been talking about Premier League clubs fielding stronger sides when they reach the latter stages of this competition. Well whoever wins tonight will be in the last 16 and a nice draw for that round and Wembley will be in sight.

Seen Wolves win two League Cuo finals at Wembley and rather than feel like a meaningless competition, they are memories to last a lifetime. Hope we can take a step closer to another final tonight

No it’s not.

You were uncreative in the final 3rd - and couldn’t beat 10 men. It happens.

Be good to see how strong the reserve sides are.

If we say we got a grudge we got a grudge at least as much as you can have against the nothing club like Leicester

I guess it goes down as Leicester’s best achievement this century, to be the only team to beat Wolves in 18/19

Leicester are a nothing club so I’m going for a 4-0 mauling !

Wow, so so bitter about that defeat aren't you boys?

Anyway, that match a few weeks back was an odd one. Before we scored, Wolves should have been out of sight. After we scored, they were lucky to get nil.

Main difference between Wolves and Leicester right now is that Leicester's moment of glory is behind them, and for Wolves the future is far brighter

I think you'll find that's a train with its headlight on.

Has their been a more over hyped team than this Wolves one? Genuinely you have spent a fortune and done absolutely nothing yet.

Give it the big 'un when you have actually won something ffs.

YH - Is it actually a fortune? I seem to recall reading somewhere that the Wolves squad is one of the least expensively assembled in the division. Could be wrong though as I only saw a table briefly the other week and was surprised by the result as I thought they'd spent more too. I think we were around 8th on that list behind the top 6 and Everton.

I imagine the wage bill is massive, to attract the players they have as a newly promoted team.

Wolves equal with Burnley in 17th. Not that I'd expect either to be fighting relegation but interesting nonetheless.

I think with all of these things it's net spend that is the real comparator. We've recouped more than £100m in Kante, Drinkwater and Mahrez.

We could put out a completely different eleven to the one that started on Saturday and still look reasonably strong:

Ward

Simpson (yes, I know it won't happen), Morgan, Soyuncu, Fuchs

Iborra, Silva

Pereira, Okazaki, Albrighton

Gray

Certainly better than a 2nd eleven of a couple of seasons ago that consisted of Benalouane and a can of baked beans at Centre Back.

All this speculation is pointless, of course, as I doubt Puel has even shaken the hat yet - let alone picked the names out.

Joby - That looks not far off tonight's starting line-up to me.

posted on 25/9/18

we had a can of baked beans in midfield for years.

This game will be dull as feck as all Wolves cup games generally are in this comp, wouldn't be surprised at all with a shoot out

who created the heading CaraBOA cup?

They should call it the Cardboard Cup.

Before we scored?
Feckin short memories some of you Foxes!
You didn't score did you? By the time Matt Doherty put a bullet header in for you we should have been 3 up. Then to make matters worse Maddison's lame shot which Patricio would have saved with ease was deflected by Connor Coady and your second goal was gifted to you.
Like I said, grudge match and I sincerely hope you get your pants pulled down and your @rses comprehensively slapped!
