Well you can forget about winning the Champions League if this happens. No doubt all the dip shot leavers will think that all the money ‘saved’ on transfer fees and wages will be diverted into the NHS and that England will win the next World Cup.
I can't believe it's heading the way everybody said it would. Shocking. Remaining in all but name but paying more for the privilege. What I find hilarious, well I would if it wasn't so serious, is that the people who voted for the foreigners out won't get what they wanted as like they were told at the time, this country needs them. The fact that they bring more money in taxes as a percentage per person proves that.
So now they aren't getting anything they were promised, £300m a week to the NHS, their country back etc. now what? Well we'll just struggle on and deliver what nobody wants.

Well yes but then she has an impossible task. She can't deliver what either side wants as to do so would either go against 'democracy' or cripple the economy. So she has to go down the middle.

A reasonable understanding of the EU/trade policy and basic maths demonstrates the so called Brexit dividend was/is utter nonsense.
Brexit deal is almost done.

yeh, right.
The PL situation must have been the most pressing detail of the Brexit proposal negotiations over the last few days to nail down in detail and get each cabinet ministers support before the PM announces to the nation later this afternoon.

this is about right....many people in this country shouldn't even be allowed to vote on important things really...they are exactly what you've alluded to, they get on bandwagons & are seduced by what marketing people tell them

Exactly. No one wins in this shambles. Maybe they'll find some way to allow lower workers and environmental rights which is what the likes of BJ and JRM are so upset about missing out on if we align ourselves too close to the EU.
Plebs who were tricked into voting leave have really shown themselves up lately. Ok they believed the BS, fair enough you voted thinking it might improve your life but now literally no one is even pretending this won't fack us - yet some voters are still digging their deluded heels in

Maybe there should've been a basic test for everyone to take prior to being given a vote...& I mean fairly basic
That would have seen a different outcome I feel...I voted stay personally, but was intrigued to see what the leave vote would bring when it was announced...still don't know...many don't, - and i'm talking about the very many who voted leave.
oh..the football question....
City relegated...
Nothing like using football as a politcal tool
I think if there was a "People's vote" with three choices - Remain in EU, Leave with no deal or Leave with the 'Chequers' deal, then it would be an overwhelming loss to the chequers. This pretty much sums up how the government has handled Brexit.
I reckon a vote would be something like:
Remain in the EU - 65%
Leave with no deal - 30%
Take the Chequers deal - 5%
A majority of those who were on the fence and swung in favor of Leave, aren't particularly passionate about it and would most probably vote the other way now with a bit of a "meh" attitude - whether that's right or wrong.
I don't think it would be undemocratic to have another vote.
That's what a lot of misinformed/thick people thought they were voting for.

Not quite true. It was Brown, Asian/Arab (Non EU) and Eastern Europeans who they thought they thought they were voting to get rid of.
Inconceivable the withdrawal text will get through parliament. But even if it did, the 'backstop' is a commitment (as set out in phase one) the UKG intends to follow the rules of the SM in perpetuity.
As any divergence from regulatory allignment with the EU creates trade barriers. Ergo a problem for North/South Ireland. Divergence necessitates conformity/rules of origin checks.
It's clear there are fantastists (ERG etc) who believe in Brexit more than stability in Ireland.

Perfect. Shall we do this test for every general election too? As it's not like the GE vote lead us here in the first place?
Why stop there, "stupid people" shouldn't vote in local elections either. God knows what mayhem they may cause.
While we're at it lets sensor what they can read and watch online too, that'll be the right thing to do in 2018. The world would be such a better place if only those who could pass an exam got to vote. Works well in schools right? Only those who get good grades offer any benefit to society.
In fact let's just go that extra mile and say that anybody who has a differing opinion should just be gathered up and executed?

Therefore all campaigns during the referendum got away with disinformation and lies. Including remain.
As Andy Wigmore (LeaveEU) told the digital media communications committee (fake news investigation) "information [relating to the referendum] doesn't have to be truthful, it just has to be believable"
Millions of people voted without knowing the true circumstances or facts. On all sides.
