Why would you peel spυds in advance, they'll go grey. Cover them with cold water until you are ready to use them

Why would you want to part bake sausages and reheat again. Increased risk for bacteria and they'll be bone dry. If you want to reheat do it in foil. Always cook meat through if you plan to reheat (bacteria). Best method is to reheat low and slow for moisture retention, but it'd be quicker cooking bangers from scratch to be honest.

Preparing carrot parsnip mash in advance, before serving, reheat and then adding butter at the last minute, makes them taste freshly mashed.

Of course I am peeling and placing in water

Of course I am not going to poison everyone. The meat and pastyry will eb cooked, just need a criping and browning

Of course the c and p will taste as if it was just prepared

In 1637 near present day Groton, Connecticut, over 700 men, women and children of the Pequot Tribe had gathered for their annual Green Corn Festival which is your Thanksgiving celebration. In the predawn hours the sleeping Indians were surrounded by English and Dutch mercenaries who ordered them to come outside. Those who came out were shot or clubbed to death while the terrified women and children who huddled inside the longhouse were burned alive. The next day the governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony declared "A Day Of Thanksgiving" because 700 unarmed men, women and children had been murdered.
Cheered by their "victory", the brave colonists and their Indian allies attacked village after village. Women and children over 14 were sold into slavery while the rest were murdered. Boats loaded with a many as 500 slaves regularly left the ports of New England. Bounties were paid for Indian scalps to encourage as many deaths as possible.
Following an especially successful raid against the Pequot in what is now Stamford, Connecticut, the churches announced a second day of "thanksgiving" to celebrate victory over the heathen savages. During the feasting, the hacked off heads of Natives were kicked through the streets like soccer balls. Even the friendly Wampanoag did not escape the madness. Their chief was beheaded, and his head impaled on a pole in Plymouth, Massachusetts -- where it remained on display for 24 years.
The killings became more and more frenzied, with days of thanksgiving feasts being held after each successful massacre. George Washington finally suggested that only one day of Thanksgiving per year be set aside instead of celebrating each and every massacre. Later Abraham Lincoln decreed Thanksgiving Day to be a legal national holiday during the Civil War -- on the same day he ordered troops to march against the starving Sioux in Minnesota.

yep. that's thanksgiving folks, the celebration of the mass murder of innocent men, women and children just because they're of a different race, followed by the mass slavery of any survivors. classy.

nope, but he's supported the neo-nazi's, tried to make it impossible for any one from the middle east to enter the us. called a group of asylum seekers an 'invasion'. pretty much insulted any country that isn't the us. insulted the jewish, is trying to make it impossible to claim asylum from anywhere except the border, and then trying to block asylum seekers access to the borders where they can claim asylum. during his election campaign he repeatedly made it clear he wanted to kick the muslims out of the us. how much longer is it till he tries to start the pogroms?

those are it's origins, that IS what the holiday was created as a celebration of.
just because you aren't associating the holiday with that these days doesn't alter that.

Presumably the 5th of November is a big terrorism celebration

I’m not American so I don’t know anything about Thanksgiving or Thnaksgiving but I’ve a feeling that what 19th Title is saying could well be true. So many of these ‘holidays’ and ‘festivals’ which are celebrated today have lost their original meanings and are nothing remotely to do with what they once were. What’s worse is that some of these holidays have some truly horrific origins. Don’t get me started on Christmas...

posted on 20/11/18

nope. its a celebration of the failure of terrorism.
guy fawkes was arrested, the gunpowder was never lit.

Celebrating the fact that King James I had survived the attempt on his life, people lit bonfires around London; and months later, the introduction of the Observance of 5th November Act enforced an annual public day of thanksgiving for the plot's failure.

To be fair Christmas is the celebration of a magic baby who magically appeared in the womb of a virgin lady who grew up to do magic tricks, spreading the word of a book telling people about a magic man who lives in the sky who tells people they should be committing genocide against those who don't believe in this magic man whilst raping the women and taking the children as slaves.

It's just people aren't really using that anymore, they instead use it to spend time with and share gifts with family.
