Sandy you need to come back down to Earth, good win on Saturday but against a very poor Chelsea side who will turn that around wait till next weekend before you start crowing
I'd consider being within 5 points at this stage as being in a race for the title.
Remarkable really after buying nobody.
I think Spurs will finish 3rd in the end though.

That lamela miss against City was massive
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yup. We'd be 2 points behind City and joint 2nd with Liverpool.
Even then, my money would be on City anyway...

Depends on city and the champions league they cant go full out for both i feel
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course they can... They have a massive squad and have literally 2 quality players for every position.
We simply don't.
If City weren't around then sure. We can certainly finish above Liverpool.
But you will most likely need 100 points to come above City, something nobody else is capable of.

To elaborate on that, I think Spurs are far too inconsistent. You are capable of some excellent performances followed up by some shocking ones.
Plus your squad depth isn't as solid as Liverpool's or City's. Eventually if/wehn key injuries strike you will be more effected than others.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
'Far too' inconsistent? Big exaggeration. We're pretty damn consistent TBH, being five points off City who have won all their games bar two that they've drawn, doesn't mean we're inconsistent.

Pretty sure Sandy is on a GB-esq WUM, but Spurs wouldn't be 5 points off City if they were consistent.
I don't really see any issues with stating Spurs aren't on City's or LIverpool's level. You were comfortably beaten by both teams.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
bit like Arsenal are not on our radar
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Arsenal aren't even on top 4 level, let alone title challengers. Not sure how this changes the opinion that Spurs aren't title contenders but hey-ho.

No but losing a quarter of your games does.
Losing to Arsenal this weekend could see us drop to 5th and be 8 points off City.
One game changes everything.

If anybody needed a reminder of the drivel that pundits/journalists come out with then our season so far is it. Apparently the crops had failed because we didn't sign anyone last summer yet despite being very reliant on our squad we have kept ourselves in the mix. I won't hold my breath in anticipation of any contrition from the likes of Merson, Shearer or Durham but it would be good if these half wits were held accountable for what they say. Afterall they are being paid to say it.

yeah we've been rubbish this season performance wise, played very poorly against rivals Liverpool and could have lost by more and have got away with a few wins where we were hanging on for dear life.
Against Chelsea was our best performance of the season by quite some distance, more of that please.
