Of course, but there was still a lack of ruthlessness, in my opinion. I think he was probably shocked Fury even got back up in the 12th.

Genuinely convinced Parker or Whyte can beat Wilder.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Whyte vs Wilder is a barn burner of a fight. No way that goes 12 rounds.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I really want to see it happen, but neither of them seem particularly keen on it. Both of them seem to want AJ more.

Thought I saw something in between rounds that no one on Showtime seemed to pick up on, about Wilder's trainer asking for something to be given but the next round began before he could get it
Even if he'd lost the respect he deserved would be immense, to go through all the $hit he has been through and a year ago to be looking like this https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DtY9durUUAA5m0L.jpg:large and to perform like that in his first meaningful fight and everyone knows the real winner and to even get up from that 12th round knock down was just immense.
That 12th round get up was quite poetic as well, despite everything and despite being on last legs, he got back up like he has done in life outside the ring. So fair play
There’s no money in Whyte vs Wilder. AJ and Fury are the money draws for them.
Wilder should have lost that fight to a man who's been out of the ring for 3 years, and was made to look amateur at times. Shows how little he's really been tested up to now in this division.
Also, just seen that Adonis Stevenson lost to Oleksandr Gvozdyk. Didn't expect it, what a result that is!
These Ukranians are producing some proper tough nuts.
Fair play to Wilder, definitely has real power, still think he has very limited boxing ability/IQ but definitely the most powerful heavyweight on the planet and took a few punches right on the button so has a good chin. Earned my respect

Thought he'd lose, Adonis is just too old now, 42,43 ?
Still can't believe that Mexican judge. Even if Wilder hadn't scored two knockdowns but still won those two rounds, the Mexican judge would have given him the win.

Just seen? You were on when I was posting about it ffs.
Gvozdyk was massive favourite though.

You don't think people would want to watch that?
They're both quite entertaining and both are good fighters towards the top of the chain in the heavyweight division. Think it could generate a lot of attention.

Both fighters stock rose during this fight. Both showed resilience and toughness and proved their doubters wrong. Now we just need a rematch to settle it and get the unification fight with AJ under way.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fackin hell Guv man my heart can't do another 12 rounds of that and Fury trying to avoid that right hand
Just seen? You were on when I was posting about it ffs.

Did you? I probably didn't read it lol.
Or the left people say the right is Wilder's dangerous shot, that left hook is just as fackin damaging

Just want to say on a side note as some get a lot of $hit but that ref was really good tonight, just let them get on with it throughout and fair play to him for even doing his job and counting when Fury went down in that 12th round, most would have just waved immediately.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep
Comparatively speaking, Samir. Fury and Joshua especially are where the big money is. Which is why both want Joshua.

Yeah I guess you're right Dazza. I wonder if Fury and AJ will fight at some point in the future as well.
Fury's called him out multiple times, and AJ's not really given a proper response.
He can't avoid him forever surely...
