So it’s picking and choosing which way someone takes it.

Which is two faced and highly hypocritical, either dont use it or get on with it.“

Then what have you got to say about black people using the N word ? you f**** plank

Robbing, do you think that if Spurs fans stopped using the Y word positively that Chelsea and West Ham fans would stop their anti-semitic chanting?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I dont think it would hurt.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay.

There's a problem with United fans chanting about the Hillsborough disaster.

Would it help if Liverpool fans didn't persist with the JFT96 campaign?

Cos that's your logic. It would help with the problem if the targetted fans didn't mention it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Robbing?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It doesn't deserve a response.

As said;

I think using racially based language, regardless of context, propogates it.

If you can explain how it doesn't I'd be amazed.

Go on then....
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why do you think it propogates it?

You think not mentioning it would stop it happening? Seriously? When it was there before?

Why doesn't my comment deserve a response? Does the JFT96 campaign propogate the Hillsborough chants by United fans?

All it does is enable people to say;

'Well they use it".

It's an enabler. If people cant see that I think theyre either being naive or obtuse.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Also you would take away the N word from black communities?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I dont think it helps at all so if I had that power then yes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But why? In a way the way they have turned around the use of that word from the slavery days is admirable and steeped in history - why take that away from them?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Robbing are you going to respond?

=============

Because that's what propogates means.

No I don't think it's a finite answer but I don't think it would hurt. The N example is a good one. Many times we see white people writing/saying 'well they say it'.

It's a process and I don't think it helps. At all.

Again;

I think using racially based language, regardless of context, propogates it.

If you can explain how it doesn't I'd be amazed.

Anyone?

Because that's an excuse for using it. Removing that particular excuse wouldn't change a thing. There would be another excuse.

But you can't control them, only yourself, so that's nonsense. Also we don't actually know do we until we try. Pretty sure that banning and not using certain language has helped loads over the years so it's demonstrably incorrect tbh.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Because that's what propogate means.

This isnt hard.

Imagine a world where no-one said the Y or N word.

The problem would be what exactly?

Why create division? Why seperate ourselves and infer difference? Why not all read off the same sheet?

It's paradoxical to promote equality and then infer division. If youre unable to understand this it's really not my problem.
