People say that other teams have learned how to play against us. It took them about a season to work it out. Rodgers has now had about 18 months to work out how to react to that and hasnt don't it yet. He needs to get his act together.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Rodgers actually said pre-season that on that very point he intended playing a high tempo game to combat that defensive "suffocation" football. He hass done at home games but today sitting in the stand and from watching previous away games you can see that that high tempo in the last third isn't there and the tempo in the away games is almost identical to last year.

Like many on here have said if you had given me 8 pts gap and a great chance of a treble treble and another step towards the 10 iar i wouldn't have cared what sort of football we are playing.
Yes, we could have had a better transfer window (although Jan wasn't bad), yes I would like to see us shake it up a bit and not pass from the back every time (glad Gordons being rested) but it's not like we suffer because of it (0 goals conceded) if that's the price we have to pay to get to 10 then i'm happy with Rodgers, I just accept unless we get lucky then latter stages europe is financially out of our league.
This feel like the way it was under strachan, lennon and ronnie where after 2 seasons the fans think the football get's stale no matter the success in trophies but I would still rather have Brendan at the helm than anyone else i can think of.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Brendan as a manager is leagues away from those others. That doesn’t make him immune to any form of criticism. We have a £2m a year manager and a wage bill of around £70m (almost all of this years income) with a squad that boasts of many full international and loans from illustrious clubs. I don’t think it’s too much to expect to have more than some few brilliant performances where we are able to destroy teams on the park.
Nobody is saying they’re not enjoying winning or even more ridiculously that we’d rather lose prettily or even that we want rid of any players or managers. What I am saying is that yes, I expect better than what the general fare is.

Brown’s was probably a red as well to be fair, for away with that.
Broadfoot’s is a red, shocker
Brown when he gets the red card is hilarious, just waltzed offI didn’t know he was sent off until full time

I did walk into that
Lurker, we don't fully press from the front, the forward 4 could be WAY more aggressive and closing down and the midfield seem reluctant to be any closer than 30 feet from them, I don't think many teams in our league have the skill level to consistently pass out from the back with approriate pressure being applied?
Just watched the game again, still got fairly chuffed when Broony strode on magnificently to the head back🙄😂😂

7 year itch.
7 titles won.
Then 'winning' isn't enough.
Next thing a mental Trillionaire will buy Rangers.
And we'll dance on the streets if we get to the last 8 of a League Cup.
Enjoy these times I say.
