Asked the family what restaurant they wanted to go to and they chose an Italian that sounded really good online and apparently had amazing lasagne. So we just went there and they said they didn't have lasagne and only have bread and tap water but we'd have to pay £20 each for the bread and tap water. Anyway, just sitting enjoying me water and bread as we decided to come here and it would not make sense at all to change our mind because the family voted for bread and tap water.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Did you ask the waiter if he could tell you that your choice of meal was thick racist stereotyping ???

And so you ate what you thought was on the right sife of history....even though it stank?😠😠 😠😠
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I ate it because the family voted to come to this restaurant. Currently on the toilet with violent dysentery but my family voted for dysentery so need to respect their wishes
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In future, just ignore the family view and tell them where to go!

YOU are better than them.

I tried to delay the dysentery for as long as possible but at the end of the day dysentery means dysentery, whether it was good for me or not. My family are priiiicks

People saying another referendum is pointless are being lazy.

The leave campaign was literally found guilty of breaking electoral law. We should absolutely have another informed vote as a result if that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Literally ?
So not ACTUALLY found guilty then
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes literally.

Let's say that happened and leave won again, would that be the end of it?

Of course it wouldn't
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It's unlikely leave would win again though.

People say "I don't know anyone who says they'd vote leave now". Yeah but you didn't know anyone that voted leave the first time around either.

The social media you choose to follow and the people you surround yourself with gives you a false impression of the overall view.

For example I am not friends with any binmen but there are loads of them because we produce a lot of rubbish. I am friends with a few people that studied Politics. But there are more binmen so their vote holds more weight.

Whether you support a second vote or not, the problem with it is rightly highlighted on the first page of replies... put what to the people?

What are you actually asking them? Remain vs no deal? Remain vs deal? All three?

There are big, big problems with any of those scenarios and I don’t see any viable way of doing it. What a mess we’re in.

PUT IT TO THE PEOPLE

Yeah, some of few have forgotten WE DID THAT, PEOPLE VOTED TO LEAVE

Another referendum is pointless, if remain wins then it's 1-1 and leavers would want another, and so on, and so on.
How about replaying all football matches if enough supporters of the losing team complain ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I see this comment a lot and it’s so, so stupid.

It’s not a replay. It would be a vote to ask people if, now they can see what Brexit actually looks like (as opposed to the hypothetical Brexit people voted for), do they still want it?

Whether yes or no, there wouldn’t be a need for a third vote.

I don’t necessarily agree with having another vote but a lot of the objections to it are stupid.

There is that Barry of course.

However I think a lot of the people who didn't vote because they assumed people werent mental xenophobes would now take to the polls. Also some people who were divvy enough to be hoodwinked by the Boris bus, etc, may change their mind.

I doubt anyone who voted remain would have now changed their mind though.

If parliament cant decide on it why not put it to the people?

I'll bet there is not one leave voter who envisaged that deal as how leave would look when they voted in the referendum.

so.. lets see if that really is what the people want.

Democracy right? So whats the problem?

Do you fack, you're talking about demographic change on the other thread and haven't thought through that for such to take place there has to be a throughput of people.

Thick as a concrete sandwich you are.

The same thats been asked to parliament... then if that doesn't get passed by the public whether they want to leave with no deal or simply remain.

Parliament has been asked a lot of questions - which one did you have in mind?

posted on 23/3/19

Winston, why can't the government ask the people to vote on this withdrawal deal?
Is it something they wish to vote through? Yes/No

thereon if the public says no, do they want to leave without a deal or remain?

Any issues with that?

Democracy in action.

Do we want her shiitey deal, do we want no deal, or do we want to not be absolute monggos?

Then monggos vote to be monggos because they are monggos and there are loads of them so they win.

That's all you need to know.

What is not carrying through the vote of a referendum?

You’ve got to laugh at the 18 year olds who bemoan not getting to vote in 2016.

I assume these 18 year olds will be wanting another vote in 2 years time to accommodate today’s 16 year olds.

And in 2 years, the new 18 year olds will be wanting another vote for the new 16 year olds.

Repeat ad infinitum

I didn’t say there was anything wrong, I’m asking a simple question.

So you’re proposing two votes, is that correct?
