What a crock
Spurs have long been media darlings and there was much joy in the press over the win.

Really cannot believe how far away from reality some Spurs fans are m, what with this and Billy the Yiids belief Spurs are hard done by by the refs.

Clearly haven’t took your rose tinted glasses of Mackaroni. All it’s been since is debate about the decisions. Yet walkers BLANTANT handball in the are doesn’t get a mention.

BBC were still rattling on about it on the Football roundup this evening.

They really are very bitter Spurs beat one of their lovechild teams.

I have to say I have never heard so much fuss over a complete non event. It was not handball, end of. Absolutely however you look at it, no case at all.

The media don't play favourites

Theres no grand conspiracy when it comes to any team, they don't love liverpool or hate arsenal or any of these narratives that fans try to push

They call it how they see it, sometimes they're right and sometimes they're wrong

Individuals obviously lean one way or another based on their background but to act like an entire industry has it out for any team is non sensical

'Deliberate' handball? Are you serious?

Walker's handball was not deliberate. I don't know what Redknapp or Neville were on about. Walker is running back towards goal, and Alli headed it against his arm. You can clearly see that Walker did not move his arm toward the ball to block it. It was more ball to hand.

If a penalty was given for that, then that means anytime a ball hits a player's arm, irrespective of intent or awareness, a penalty/foul would be given.

It sets a very dangerous and silly precedent.

Llorente’s?

If so of course they are going to look and talk about it. It was a huge moment in a huge game.

Did it hit his arm yes it did you can clearly see that but it’s still a goal as it’s unintentional and in a natural position.

It’s the job of the media to talk about huge moments in games

They can talk about it, but the trouble is when you have Gary Neville saying were VAR to be introduced now, a penalty would have been given for that.

If this is the case, then I fear for the future.

Walkers arm movement wasn’t natural, further no one will convince me he didn’t know what he was doing by moving his arm forward in the motion that he did. Penalty all day.

If var was in that game today they would’ve had a pen far earlier than we would’ve ( I reckon var would’ve given that handball ).

When was that MK, the Vertonghen tackle? Nonsense.. he took the ball, albeit clumsily.

His knee clearly hit silvas knee before going through the back to get the ball.

Pen all day long.

I don’t think you understand just how biased you come across as. Vertonghen went through Bernardo to get the ball. It was a stonewall penalty.

It’s very easy to say that when you have slow mo and replays from every other angle, but in real time, you could see there was no intent from Walker to move his arm towards the ball. In fact, even on the replay, it didn’t look like he did it on purpose either.

You’re coming across as an entitled spoiled brat to be honest.

The vertonghen penalty was blatant

The Walker one would have been harsh but VAR would have given it

Walker's was a pen, it doesn't need to be deliberate to be handball.

Fair enough Samir, your opinion and your entitled to it. But I tell you what, your an arsenal fan commenting on a spurs match; with the Username of what many arsenal fans view as a snake. So I’ll chose to ignore your ‘biased’ comments. Especially since you result to name calling on a thread and a post which didn’t refer to your club or call you out personally. Key board warrior.

I agree except the last paragraph. They don't call it his they see it.

The media does whatever will make the most money for themselves which is a fundamental flaw in fourth estate because the truth and profit don't mix very often.

Vertonghen one was not a penalty, but Toby’s handball would’ve been given.

Walker’s handball was as blatant as they come.

Still, decent performance today and any points would’ve been a bonus. We won the important one

Exactly Thorgen to believe no one within the media has preconceived opinions is idiotic. Especially as most within the sports media are affiliated with an opposition club.

Media darlings?!

The media constantly try and sell Kane, Alli, Eriksen (whoever is playing well for us) every summer

The idea of us being media darlings is laughable

You are a good poster DJ but that was an embarrassment
