"You make your own luck"

What does that even mean?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
That one has some truth to it

People always moan about certain teams getting more penalties. It usually goes hand in hand with who is in the box more and who tries to take on defenders more.

That's why the 'bigger' clubs get more. If you're in the box 15 times in a game rather than 3 your bound to have more chance of getting a penalty.

I don't know, both Palace and United have double the penalties of Liverpool and at least half of Liverpool's were Salah dives.

VAR is wrong. It puts imaginary thoughts in to minds of players in 100x slow motion. They could write a novel in their minds about why they decided to handle the ball when live action is slowed down to 100x slower. It should not be shown to the refs in slow motion as life doesn't happen in slow motion unless you're Phil Jones.

"Handling the ball involves a deliberate act of a player making contact with the ball with the hand or arm.

The following must be considered:

The movement of the hand towards the ball (not the ball towards the hand)"

That's not the rule though, if your arms are in what's considered an unnatural position and the ball moves to the hand/ arm and hits it, it's handball

if i stand on the goal line with my hands naturally at my side and the ball smacks by hand itd be a bit harsh to not give a pen for that, its stopped a goal, even if by accident

Also the outrage from English fans at card waving, calling it the worst thing in football.

The player is expressing their opinion that it should have been a yellow card for the foul in which they were on the end of, but with a gesture rather than words.

English player makes a leg breaking challenge, foreigner eventually gets up and suggests it should have been a yellow.

“Trying to get a fellow professional booked, disgraceful”.

Deliberate handball is the rule. The position of the hand must be considered in determining whether it is deliberate or not. The rule is deliberate handball.

Jamie Redknapp using the fact that Overbo came from the Norwegian League to defend his performance as a referee that night. Having gotten off the National express, not an hour before and only switched on the TV to find out what all the fuss about Drogba was, Redknapp really annoyed me.

If he weren’t up to it, WTF was he doing refereeing a Champions League Semi-Final?!

Good point this. Winds me up when I see it but you're right. Certainly no worse than appealing for a throw-in / anything when you know full well it came off you last.

In a derby game form goes out of the window. Does it? Does it really?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

If things go to form in tonight's derby, the TV will be the thing going out the window, not the form book.
