Looks like the Juve defender Rugani will end up at arsenal. Wallace still on Wolves radar but there is likely to be a visa problem with him. Most likely at this stage seems to be Lemina from Southampton who may be available on an initial loan with an obligation to buy

Has Badiashile moved yet, if not then wouldn't be surprised to see him join late

Looks like Wolves want to loan Lemina to begin with but Southampton want to sell. So maybe that won’t happen after all. But the club are still looking to make one maybe two more signings before the deadline

Wolves U23s have been invited to participate in a 24 team International Cup this season where 24 top clubs take part. The draw has meant they will face group games against Liverpool, PSG and Bilbao

Wolves being linked with the signing of Boubakary Soumare for what would be a club record fee. But the deal would involve the player remaining with Lille in 19/20 so he could play in the champions league. Reports say Wolves are up for accepting that condition as the 20 year old is considered a star for the future that will attract higher bids in a years time

OGS has his work cut out with the shower of shat he has to work with. He somehow has to motivate want away Paul Pogba, try to teach Smalling and Jones how to defend and now I'm reading that Lukaku doesn't bother to turn up training, preferring instead to train with Anderlecht
The more I hear about Man U, the more I feel we can finish above them this season.

A lot going wrong at Man Utd and no matter how much they spend I’m not sure they will get it right. And although I have sympathy for Ole given what he had inherited, I am far from convinced he was the right man for the job

Latest name I have seen linked with Wolves is 18 year old Reading attacker Danny Loader. Been watched by many of the top clubs in England and Germany but the Reading press reckon Wolves are at the front of the queue

The Lemina deal has gone from being apparantly nigh on completed to dead in the water.

I think it will be disappointing if we don’t get at least another one in

Have to say it is pretty feckin daft how the prem has hindered itself with this early transfer deadline when the rest of europe can carry on for three more weeks.

I prefer it massively. Every team has had more than enough time to get required bodies in and with the PL usually being the most lucrative the European sides know that to maximise their revenue it makes more sense to sell to a PL club. It isn't like deals couldn't have been made between February and now.

The problem with having our window shut earlier is that we can miss out on plenty of opportunities as clubs buy and sell which can free up players that may not have been available a week earlier.

I agree with the Responsible Jewellery Council. You can't start the season not knowing whether your best players are leaving at the end of the month.

Also, we would have been at a disadvantage had we played Leicester with Maguire, only for him to leave a week later.

The only other option would be to start the season later to tie in with the rest of europes transfer window, but we all know that's not going to happen.

Yeah that is a fair point, keep this up and i may change my mind

Why wouldn't you know if your players are staying or not?

posted on 8/8/19

At least it’s not possible for a player to say I’m leaving on the 31st deal or no deal. But Boris could try to change that I guess

Franck Kessie is being linked again.

Well if the transfer window was still open you could receive an offer the club couldn't refuse, the players head is turned, and before you know it he's off.

Simples.

Apparently Wolves have been offered Chris Smalling by Man United

United are willing to pay us 25m but Wolves are holding out for at least 32m.

Chris Smalling is probably their best defender. I never really get the negativity towards him really.

Wolves have signed 20 year old attacking midfielder Meritan Shabani from Bayern Munich. Although he will join the U23s he has played a couple of times for the Bayern first team so shouldn’t be far off being ready to compete, like a couple of the others for the future we have recently signed

Hopefully we bring one or two in today but that looks far from certain. Still a few outgoings to come either on loans or transfers with Miranda, Enobakhare, Graham and Bonatini set to leave plus probably Ashley Seal and Burgoyne

I think Vallejo gives us some competition in defence as does Saiss. We have 4 wing backs in Doherty, Jonny, Vinagre and now Traore. And with Cutrone we have three top strikers for 2 positions. But in midfield I don’t think the competition for Neves, Moutinho and Dendoncker is good enough. Mgw and Saiss can come in but to me are quite a drop in standard. So that’s where I’d most like to see another new face
