Ah the good old nearing the completion story. I'm getting to the stage where I'm just past caring now.
Oh in other news Laurence Bassini says he'll meet everyone at the Nat Lofthouse statue tonight at half 6 to tell us the whole truth.
That isn't even made up - he's said it and everything. Part of me hopes nobody turns up and he's stood there on his own but another part wants to bob down and look at a safe distance to have a laugh.
Nearing the end of the rope so guessing something will be sorted before the wycombe game. If not everyone is wasting their time and will lose money.
Oldham have cancelled the friendly against Bolton.
Someone suggesting deal's been signed today for both club and hotel.
Yeah right.
Looks like we'll have to sign a load of players that have done pre-seasons for other teams if it ever does get done.
behind-closed-doors friendly against Bradford City has been organised for Tomorrow.
Did I pick a good time to go away it looks like it was to me
Here’s a quick reminder of what I expected upon my return
“On my return if it’s mystery buyer C and not FV whoever eventually gets it I expect to see them backed by a mega rich billionaire, Messi installed on a free, Jussi back from Finland as GK coach, the Trialist family tested in pre season and the best of the worlds free transfers coming up to full fitness plus of course PP and his crew despatched to Outer Mongolia primary schools league management.”
What have you been doing did you do anything besides juggle some snippets of news and play about on twotter and farcebook
Time to grasp the nettle and get the job done buy those two attached businesses before they turn to liquid and run down the drains bung the council a brown envelope ring Pickfords for a quote get started on planning for a move to a new home and book the bulldozers. What do you fancy a cheaper smaller expandable modular stadium would suffice just in case we did rise to the very top once again.
We had the right plan once upon a time a stadium with a removable pitch making it a true multi use stadium you don’t think we could stay and modify at greater costs do you ? swie would have to be very brave and dig extra deep to do that.
Why are planes routing around EFL HQ is it because at 32k feet there’s a smell of the board poo pooing themselves or is the gravy train about to explode.
And what’s all this about letting Dennis leaves to take up a paid job at the Mustard factory
I think I need a holiday
I thought that you had just returned from an extended holiday.
Regarding me having to dig deep, I thought that you were the man with the money, I'm a mere pauper.
Getting onto important matters, despite a post above by the ghost implying that someone is suggesting the deal has been done, if we get confirmation, which I doubt that we will, we would be able to take a massive sigh of relief, Sadly I doubt that to be the case. So the saga goes on.
What happens if we are still in limbo next week? It could be possible to play a team in our first game of the season but could the administrators settle the player's wages? I doubt it, and they are still on strike. More probably, the young lads would need to be drafted in as apparently, they have been paid. It's just a complete and utter shambles. Not an ideal way to start a season especially as we will have at least a 12 point deduction of points. Still, that is not our biggest problem. We just need that simple problem of getting the deal over the line.
Welcome back to the madhouse pasty.
Apparently we've more players training than everyone expects. (any more than 2 eh?)
Wheater still hanging about and Jack Hobbs is still there.
Lets see what this Bradford behind closed doors friendly brings though.
Heads will roll
Sam is back in town !
A win is a win.2-1 against Bradford . Goals from politic who hasn't yet flown the nest to the canaries yet and Murphy. You never know might have a respectable team at wycombe if they pull the finger out with the takeover. Thompson a CB from bury played, you would hope wheater and brock bank would sign. Pringle played too
I'm sure we were after him once because I remember the pringle jokes.
Who was the last Thompson who played for us is it me I seem to recall us having a Tomo in the side when happier times come along is this Thompson a sign of this being true.
If I recall the last Thompson was little David Thompson who's transfer in was the catalyst in seeing Big Sam depart due to lack of ambition.
All the other ones have been memorable for good reasons - the one mentioned above popped a balloon to try and put a penalty off - didn't work.
Cheers Ghost bang goes that theory I'd forgot about the one you mentioned.
Guess I'll have to look for another straw to grasp.
Clubs Statement of administrator's proposal is open
https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/00043026/filing-history
Get a large brew there's 6 pages of creditors at the end
I can't be bothered breading that. I'll just wait for the more important news of if and when the deal is done.
The 2-1 win against Bradford means nothing in reality but at least it was a win, so well done the guys. I hope that they can replicate it if we ever kick a ball in a proper game.
My fingers seem to get in the way of each other.
On Page 18 - so far - we made a loss of just over £4.2 million up to June this year (Turnover over £13m).
FV bid is for aggregate sum of £24m and was the highest by far, they also proved they have a business plan for the club (minimum 2 years).
Only one buyer paid the £25,000 for access to the "virtual data room".
Luca Connel's transfer fee is £200,000. £42,000 of which has been received so far.
We owe Ken £1.5 million according to the books - according to Ken though this is £7.5million.
I have skipped a load of info about how much the administrators have actually got done in the day today running and that as well.
The club is at the SPA stage awaiting signatures making the Haunted Hotel very scary
What you say a trip to London for a ruling if these uncertain amount claims by Fildraw and he who wears tank tops isn't all sorted soon.
There must be a heck of a profit in whatever FV have planned only time will tell.
According to Ilesa, I think that he stated that 5 bidders had paid 25,000 for access to the information. it just goes to show that you can't believe much that you read.
Of course, we are all now anticipating a deal to be forthcoming anytime soon. just a word of warning, we have been here several times in the last few weeks and although we have been told positive things are happening, nothing has transpired that is really positive. It needs several signatures on legal documents before we can celerbrate.
Football Safety Officers Ass £100
As written in the list of creditors honest its there in b&w
don't expect we'll see that printed in the local rag.
How much is the administrators tea and biscuits bill by now?
25p for the sheet of paper their tea and biscuits order was written on
Another 25p for a new sheet of paper for the travel costs in fetching a bag of sugar add another 25p for the sugar expenses sheet
So 75p before they started thinking about putting the kettle on.
It's a hard life at hundreds of pounds an hour thirsty work by all accounts.
Of course lets not forget the extra bit of paper they had to use to make the list for who wanted what and the use of pen to write said list is £1 as it was one of those gel jobbers. So we are underestimating the tea budget considerably.
I see the EFL are now trying to exert pressure on FVC.
