Lenglet is not good enough as a defender. He is decent on the ball but his defending sucks. Not good enough for where we want to be.

Lenglet absolutely fine. Prob our best defender after Romero.

On paper but in reality Romero still has question marks around his decision making, fitness and discipline.

A few posters said last season Dier was "fine". If supporters are happy with fine then fair enough.

Just read Skriniah can sign on a free from Jan. Clubs will be queing up for him. Bet Chelsea blow us out of the water. Unless he loves Conte so much we stand little chance.

Easy really, Bastoni is good player but not sure if he suited for prem. Not the quickest and gets turned inside out when I have seen him.

Lenglet would probably cost £15m tops? They would ask for £50m+ for Bastoni. Not worth it one bit. Very overrated because of the whole "What Conte wants" BS.

Skriniah is free and capable of playing CB. I'm surprised you are even asking the question unless you think Bastoni is on another level (which he is not).

Oh on that.

For me a CCB is my priority and I like Lenglet a lot so I’d rather go all out on Skriniah ( signing on and wages will be huge ) and get Lenglet on a cheap perm and sort two positions out.

If it’s just sorting out our LCB then I’d go in for Bastoni due to age and potential

I’ve seen him a fair few times for inter and can’t say I’ve been that impressed. He makes Dier look quick. There is the caveat that Conte has made Lenglet look much better but Skriniar didn’t look great in Conte’s awful CL runs

I also thought he looked really bad last euros, Spain literally toyed with him and made him look like Dawson vs Fulham in that 4-0 loss in the FA Cup

Bit harsh mate ….he has been a superb keeper for us but definitely on the decline now ….decline started last season

I wouldn’t be against Pickford replacing him next season…..could be an unpopular suggestion though

I definitely think Pickford could be got and his distribution is very good

I dunno about Pickford, feel we need a less erratic keeper. Pope is safe as they come although distribution not the best he can keep it simple
