Owen and Rooney are the only ones who performed at a high level for both club and country. Dele, 37 caps and 3 goals for England. Nothing to shout about considering his stats at club level.

Harsh to compare internationally when it wasn't a WC year - but Dele at 19 had scored a winning screamer at France and then played for the most woeful England side ever where none of those players would have done well

Dele was an absolute superstar at 19. His stats was outrageous

What has world cup year got to do with anything? He went to the world cup and played awful against awful teams.

Dele is abit of fraud if you think about it. He was more of ghost, than someone who actually dominated a game. He had his moments but when the game moved on he fell behind. He had 3 good years. Credit to him for that but he leaves a bad taste.

Yep he was not at the same level 🤷‍♂️

At 19 hadn’t Dele just won back to back PFA young player of the year awards and back to back in team of the year.

Did he play well for England? Didn't think so.
