The thought of being left with Richarlison, facking about up top horrifies me

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just read an extract from him talking about helping Everton in their last game of the season to save them from relegation. He says his body was broken and had to take pain killers to play.

He was around 24 or 25 years old at the time.

He missed 11 games for us last season and injured for 59 days in total. Yet again we have had our pants pulled down.

Running around for 90 mins under Ange is not going to help this kid.

Some of my criticisms from the moment I heard we were rumoured to be interested in him was that he looks like he does far more than what he does

- Misses chances for fun
- ALWAYS offside
- Only interested in winding players up

Nothing at all, during his time with Watford, Everton, the Brazil or with us, has even begun to change my mind on the above

Yes he will score a few goals, every striker is bound to score goals, but my god this bell is not the answer

We should be sneaking reports of him to Madrid into the tabloids over the next few weeks, and hope it snowballs from there

What a horrible waste of £60m

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bayern should buy him lol
----------------------------------------------------------------------
would love that

What worries me is that we will be keeping him for years to come, due to how much we spent

No one will pay us £60m+ and we won't want to lose yet more money on another transfer
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He does pretty well for Brazil which might help us sell him to a La Liga club for good money, even if he isn't doing the business for Spurs. I'd like to think if he doesn't produce the goods next season then we should and will be able to get rid.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
hope you're right
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Barcelona love an overrated Brazilian. They will take him.

Real seems the only option due to Carlo having managed him before and as a stop gap until Mbappe goes there next summer, if that's how things play out.

They need someone to step in for Benzema.

I can see Levy asking for £80m which is alot to pay for a stop gap.

Barca are getting Vitor Roque.

Kane going to Bayern and Real buying Richarlison would be utterly mad when Real could just get Kane for a similar price instead

yeah but....he's not Brazillian innit.

Bayern and Harry Kane have reached an agreement in principle on a transfer for this summer. the family of Kane (father and Brother) conducted the negotations. The prerequisite for the transfer is now: an agreement with Tottenham @BILD_Sport

I think we need to sell tbh. I don't want to but if he's 100% not gonna sign and they come back with something north of 80m, we'd be mad to not take the money and risk him walking on a free to a league rival next summer. Just take it and move on

Is BILD reliable?

Like I said on the other thread, seems unlikely Bayern would be chucking around huge bids like that if the player hadn't signalled that he was keen

I tend to agree tbh. Can fully see it both ways but the post-Kane rebuild needs to start now - in a backwards way it would be good for Postecoglou to start fresh and build a brand-new side without becoming reliant on Kane, which you can guarantee would happen within weeks because he's just that bloody good, and then having to start over AGAIN next summer when he leaves anyway

I guess I just don't see Kane signing a new contract come what may, so might as well maximise the money - though I honestly don't see Levy selling at this point because he'll be too worried about fan backlash when he's already despised

If Kane wants to go then yes let him go. It would signal how much he wants major silverware that he'd be willing to go to a one team league for.

I agree. Squeeze them for as much as possible. Maybe ask for someone else in return. Not De Ligt though.

It will be horrible to lose Kane but he is not going to be around forever. Cut chord now and buy some other forwards or play Son or Rico in the middle.

It's not going to be all doom and gloom.

Agree with all of this - anything north of £75M then sell.
We all know Son's had a poor season by his standards but he's played centre striker before with good results

need to sign a couple of good forwards with the money but should hope between them richarlison and son could score 30 ish

OR, match the ambition of probably our greatest player EVER, really try to actually win something and convince him to sign a new contract and end his career here.

Remember we used to say to dare is to do?

Really?

Sell Kane and hope that the guy who scored one league goal all season and a guy whose form dropped off a cliff suddenly score 30 goals between them without the guy who set most of our goals up.

Can’t see it ending well tbh

posted on 27/6/23

Rico never played in his favourite position whilst Kane played did he?

Hate to be that guy but doesn't Ange system require someone who works and presses tirelessly up top?

It's a concern but you have to take into account a new system too.

posted on 27/6/23

You sign Maddison to set a lot of them up. Plus the new system creating goals just by winning the ball in their half. Of course we'll be worse without Kane but if he's determined to leave Bayern for a decent fee is probably the best outcome

Make no bones about it, without Kane, spurs would have been in a relegation battle last season. He is simply the greatest player we have had at the club at least in the premier league era, if not ever. There has been absolutely no plan for continuation after he leaves. None. It is yet another incompetency by our chairman. If Kane leaves, as it stands, we are fhacked. I’m amazed that any spurs fan thinks giving Daniel levy 70 million will come anywhere near making up for losing Harry Kane.

Keep him. Convince him to stay. Risk losing him next summer. Pray levy has a plan in place by then.

You cannot replace Kane no matter how much you plan for it.

posted on 27/6/23

Might be impossible to convince him to stay. And I don't think one more season of Kane is worth watching him in a Chelsea shirt. He's almost doing us a favour by agreeing to go to Bayern

United I guess I could stomach but we'd be getting cucked every week

If he goes to Chelsea then he is not the player I thought he was and he can go f a ck himself

There is not a chance he goes there

You should have a plan. We should have a plan to replace loris.

But no, it’s all just reactionary. That’s why we get it so wrong so often.
