Na I'm just saying what I'd do if I were in his shoes. All this 'asking price goes up £20m' stuff is fun but it's just what Bayern want - get us messing around and potentially pizzing off Kane.

That's just not true. A few of the ITKs have been saying he absolutely wanted a new centre back in before the tour and he's not happy about it. He personally approved the pursuit of VDV and Tapsoba so he's not going to suddenly say "nah don't worry, I'd rather gamble on these guys that conceded relegation numbers in terms of goals and opposition chances". No way.
