It's a strange one because assuming we play Bissouma, Maddison and one of Gio or Ndombele in midfield, we'd be paying a fortune for cover in Gallagher or Luiz. Surely it makes more sense to sell PEH and use those funds to plug the gaping holes in defence first. Then we think about replacing PEH. Do we even need to? Doesn't Skipp do the same job? I can't wrap my head around getting another midfielder in.

I think we will only sign a midfielder if we sell peh AND lo Celso

I think we need to wait for Ange to assess the squad. GLC could be playing well for a move, or to show he wants to be involved. You cannot tell with him.

Ndombele picking up a knock didn't help but hoping he is fit for Leicester. Clean slate and all that but I have doubts he won't be able to cope with the intensity of Ange ball. Lets see, you never know.

Agree with you, selling PEH can help fund the CBs. Between Biss, Skipp, Maddison, Sarr, one of GLC and Ndom plus Bents to back we should be fine.

Crikey, I totally forgot about Bentancur.

I just think that because we're likely to dominate more, we needed less combative destructors and more cultured ball players. We have that now, particularly if one of Gio and Tanguy stick around. That money definitely needs to be funnelled towards the backline.

I think Ndombele might surprise a few. I think he'll work harder if his defensive responsibilities lie further up the pitch. Where I think he struggles is defending deep. There's a mental shift that takes place. Players will bust a gut to get forward but amble back. If we're defending from the front, that might change things a little.

Think you might be right about Gio. I think as good as he can be, he's mentally moved on I think.

Gary Jacob the same reporter whom said Nuno would be staying at Spurs and then 24 hours later he was sacked. He’s just a numpty making up headlines for the Times, about as untrustworthy as Levy saying he will lend you £30 in the morning after a night out.

Unless it's £100m Levy might naively think we can have an awesome season and Kane might change his mind next summer, if he says he wants to go.

It's info that's either come directly from Harry's camp to force a sale or it's something Levy has briefed the press on in order to gauge the fan optics on a potential sale.
