I watched him a lot as I had a season ticket at Wolfsburg last year, clearly a player tailor-made for the PL. That pace and ability to recover is worth its weight in gold - look at how Thiago Silva, a similarly pacey player, came to the PL and was an instant hit.

His only issue is I think he is *too good* on the ball, will catch some players unaware with his insane vision 20/20

So it's clearly Phillips and VDV which to me, makes sense. Romero and VDV first choice, Dier and Phillips on the bench. I'm happy with that.

I think I'm inclined to agree. I have a good feeling about VdV even though I know he's raw. Feels like he has the raw ingredients to work well under Postecoglou and hopefully it's a good time for him to bed into the Premiership when expectations are low and Postecoglou will be given time to get the system firing.

Phillips I know nothing about but it's nice to have a succession plan of sorts, for once. Just obviously needs to actually become a good player. Who knows.

Would've liked Tapsoba but that feels unlikely now. At least there'll be some cash to spend after Kane leaves

Deals always been there in 2 ways just got out of a meeting and am checking to confirm if this has actually gone further then where it was at!

Fab usually gets his info from Paratici does he not?

Whatever stage we are at with incomings, we really need to see some players leaving. Have a feeling we have held back on the VDV deal due to the lack of outgoings.

Double edged sword init. You need players to leave but maybe they don't push for a move until they're replaced.
