#Tottenham have a genuine interest in Brennan Johnson and are expected to make an official approach if Harry Kane is sold to Bayern Munich.
The London club do not regard Johnson as being a direct potential replacement for the England man, he would add to their attacking options.

Kessie just isn't very good. Mediocre in build up, quite low energy, not quick, strong ish and a good finisher/penalty taker, but nothing like what I'd want in a midfielder. Nothing at all like the Kante-esque player people seem to think he is.
If people didn't like Ndombele because he looks like he can't be facked when he runs they wouldn't like Kessie much either.
Of all our HG players only Maddison is good. Just below, Skipp and Davies but open to debate The rest could all be sold.
I don't think there is room for someone like Alex Scott. maddison is better and he could block Devine's path. We need DM cover for Biss.
Lenglet off to Saudi.. we might actually be signing VdV

I watched him a lot as I had a season ticket at Wolfsburg last year, clearly a player tailor-made for the PL. That pace and ability to recover is worth its weight in gold - look at how Thiago Silva, a similarly pacey player, came to the PL and was an instant hit.
His only issue is I think he is *too good* on the ball, will catch some players unaware with his insane vision 20/20
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pls provide similar info from your Blackburn season ticket re Philips
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks for asking. I actually gave up my Blackburn season ticket last year but used to watch him regularly at Curzon Ashton.
He has a very unique skillset where it is impossible to get past him if the ball is on the ground but he naturally flinches every time it goes near his face in the air.
In terms of passing he can only do so with the outside of his boot which means he has to take weird angles. It leads to a high success % but also means he is an injury risk for knocking his knees together a lot. I think he’ll reach a similar level as Leon Dolmans.
Regarding the xG stopped comment from U22081, don’t be ridiculous. That isn’t a metric. Both VDV and Phillips were in the top 16.43 percentile of xTchain metrics in their respective leagues.

I was actually never that big on Kessie when I saw him play a few years back (this is a serious comment). He'd be an upgrade to a few of our players - but not the right kind of upgrade
Just looked at Kessie stats vs Hojbjerg. If we're really going by data he shouldn't be considered as a replacement if at all
He's like if McTominay and Sissoko had a lovechild

Spurs were poised to do a deal with Wolfsburg for van de Ven at around £30m, however Wolfsburg have demanded a fee closer to £40m.
Micky van de Ven was preferred over Edmond Tapsoba.
@garyjacob
If MVDV is costing £40m then Tapsoba will probably cost £50m.
Still no news about Laporte either. If Kane does go do we go back for Tabsoba?
Laporte already rejected us. There's not going to be any news there

Hope not. Could end up at Woolwich. I'm still hanging on to my theory once Gvardiol's future was resolved then we would to start to hear news about us.
TBF as soon as the news came out about City agreeing a fee, the news about MVDV broke. Not sure if the two are linked though even though it transpired that way?
Seems unlikely they're directly linked. I guess maybe we want to tie it up with Leipzig looking for a replacement
Found the crappy sauce. Makes sense really though. Why would he move to us in his prime?
