Would anybody take Toney, or too much of a gamble?

Bales would

I'd rather stick with Kulu up top.

On paper Toney makes sense for us especially at the £40m currently being touted.

He’s just a bit of a twaaaat that’s my problem

28 and probably looking for that final contract payday.

Had one good season. Over rated. Doesn't fit our current transfer profile either. Werner aside obvs.

Mate you want Kulusevski as striker after about 70 mins ffs

posted on 1/6/24

Yep. He is made for it. Has alot if good qualities we need up there if we had two pacey physical wingers. Always thought he could take Kane's role one day to a lesser extent.

Since he has been tried there he looks more at home than on the right or as a number 8.

The role can give him a new lease of life.

We aren’t not going to sign a striker because Kulusevski played 80 mins as one.

I don’t want Toney but not because his footballing ability because he’s a very good striker ( better than Richy ) but because of the baggage that comes with him.

I can see levy liking the deal though if the £40m fee is true

Ange will have the final say on transfers though right? He did with Werner. I just can't see him taking a liking to Toney based on what we saw from him when he returned playing.

I think we all know ange won’t have the final say. Input yes but it’s a collective decision.

I don't think Levy would force a big money signing on him though. £40m is big money. Ange would have to give the final OK for Toney.

With the likes of Veliz and Bergvall, maybe they are club signings because of their low transfer fees. Especially Veliz, who is probably more of Paratici signing. Bergvall is a Lange signing but hopefully more of a joint venture with Ange.

You could say also Dragusin was a joint venture with Paratici and Ange as well.

POK

Tottenham are in talks with MSP Sports Capital for potential investment that could result in a stake in the club worth up-to 40% to the US group

Santiago Giminez from Feyenoord

€45m release clause. Will watch this with interest but nothing likely to happen until Mexico eliminated from Copa America. Read something saying he wants to sign for Spurs

23 goals for Feyenoord in 23/24. Only 23.

Richie's replacement if he can be shifted to Saudi

I don’t think £40m is huge money anymore.

SG scored 3 times in the league in 2024 for Feyenoord. Seems to have cold or found out perhaps?

Pretty much. Not particularly tall or fast or strong and not really great technique but can put away easy chances if given space

For us under ENIC it is. Especially for someone who is 28 with little resale value.

Wager we don't sign him?

Still got the Solomon won't be in the squad at the end of the window bet as well at the Mikey Moore one..

I don’t think you read full posts.

I said I don’t want to sign him but if you don’t think it’s something levy would be interested in or someone who would upgrade our first 11 then I think you’re crazy

posted on 1/6/24

Does he upgrade our first eleven though? In this modern era of data lead signings, he is not the best presser, or quickest or that skillfull. He is a hold up man, fox in the box. Good at winning long balls in the air.

His goal scoring record is good, not great. Call me what you like lol.

He would be like signing Les Ferdinand aged 30 for £6m.

Yes easily upgrades. He’d score alone more than everyone combined bar Son

There is no guarantee he would. If we gave him a fat pay rise, he could easily take his foot off the peddle and flop, which is more likely.
