sandy would be asking for the MP to be knighted if it was a labour MP getting harassed at a private function
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Er no I wouldn`t. I would want them treated the same. It just so happens that the Conservative Party have more of these self-serving oiks than anywhere else in any political party in the world. Public schoolboys that are used to this sort of behaviour and think they are untouchable. It is why oiks like Johnson can get away with being a racist and anybody else would be called out, suspended and probably facing a criminal investigation.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Hopefully PM Bojo will bring in a freedom of speech act so people don't have to fear criminal records for saying words.

only cowards think its ok to put your hands on a woman forcefully just because your annoyed she's gatecrashed your dinner, if the lady had slapped him 1st then by all means defend yourself but the guy obviously has small p***s syndrome if he saw that women who had walked past 8-9 other people who didn't give 2 s***s as a threat
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Surely gender is 100% irrelevant.

In the same circumstances, it's ok to shove a man out of the room. Why is that? and if it were a woman using exactly the same amount of force to evict that woman, is that also cowardly?

Sure he may be a coward, he ay not have done that if it were a bloke but that's a guess. He stopped her and removed her using low levels of force. He didnt punch her t the floor. I was subject to far more force from Spanish police at the final when they wanted to stop a flow of fans. No dramas, they didnt request we stop, they just moved in to form a line and sent a few flying in the process. Far more of an assault on innocent people than what that female trespasser suffered.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Men don't suffer close to the levels of physical abuse women do at the hands of men though. There is a difference.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Are you joking? men hurt men the most often.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry I meant in terms of domestic violence.

As I said above seeing an MP do this could go towards legitimising the behaviour, that;s the worry I'd see.

would you extend that to the elderly as well? if say an older woman was the one protesting say a 70 year old and the guy did the same that would you have the same attitude?

for me the rise of these ultra feminists has made it more difficult for most regular women who don't actually care if men are seen as stronger or get paid more, as a result the resentment to that particular type of feminist is portrayed wrongly towards all women and people think they all want to be treated so equally so its ok to treat them like you would do a man in this type of situation

oh i gotcha but even then, while a man can do more damage, there are plently of abusive female partners, they just cant physicality match a mans strength in the assault

The real problem is the level of identity politics the UK is entrenched in now, it's far worse than ever, everyones a fascist (hate that this word is thrown around so liberally, literally dilutes the meaning of it every time it's thrown for no real reason).
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It means exactly what it’s always meant and considering fascism is on the rise in the UK it should be called out far more often.

Thankfully we still have a few politicians left with a backbone like Sadiq Khan and David Lammy who aren’t afraid to do so.

Lest we forget? You people already have.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mate I'm probably closer to your beliefs than most people on here

But my point is extremley valid, if left and right just shout Fascist at everyone for any action you dilute the meaning fo the word, sorry but someone who voted Brexit simply isn't a fascist, some might well be but not everyone. As much as somone protesting against anti hate speech is not a fascist even if someone on the far rights says they are.

One major flaw in this freedom of speech thing is that many who champion it want speech without consequence, that is not free speech.

This is a very good point.

Ultra feminism devalues the feminist position in many cases. You can be a feminist but also accept there are circumstances when men and women are treated differently. There’s nothing wrong with that.

OP

Sorry mate but if you think manhandling women they way he did is OK, then I think you may have a problem. It was obvious that they did not carry a serious threat, other than having a very noisy demonstration. He could have just held restrained her, but no he decided to fogmarch her out in a very aggressive manor. He deserves to get suspended.

I see both you cuuunts were in the room then when it happened.

Every Neo Na ZI, pound shop fascist and bog standard racist voted Brexit.

A far right terrorist Brexiter murdered an MP.

I’ll call it when I see it. All day long.

I'd lean left, but I can't stand how you seem to have to be left or right and simply can't see things on an individual basis and make your own mind up about it.

This is the real problem with identity politics as far as I see it.

I'm sure there are plenty of people who voted remain for example who would like to see more stringent measures of border control, I see nothign wrong with that, but today if you voted remain you'll be labelled as someone who wants to open the flood gates. A smuch as if you voted leave you'll be labelled as far right, simply not the case to say everyone is in one box or the other.

Knee rash I couldn't agree with you more. Our country is more divided than at any point in my lifetime. Feels on the brink at times.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's a real shame, starting to see it creeping into Irish society now too, we're seeing similar characters to Katie Hopkins and Tommy Robinson begin to emerge over here.

The more divided it get's the more problmes everyone in the U Kwill face, like how much time is being wasted on trivial matters to score political points?? When the time and effort, and likely cost could be spent improving the lives of everyday people in the UK.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
It really depresses me to be honest. The vitriol spewed by both sides is disgusting and both sides are so belligerent they think they are entirely in the right.

Really dire state of affairs.

Someone at his level should be an astute communicator - both verbal and non verbal. Which I believe are skills he attains.

Therefore it should’ve been blatantly obvious by the ladies body language that there was no ‘real’ threat.

What is obvious though, is the shear anger on his face as he pins against the pillar and proceeds to drag by the scruff of the neck. Due to the evident loss of control, it’s obvious there are anger issues that should be addressed.
