Good! Cyclists deserve all they get. Bunch of s
Absolute joke.
I’ve knocked 3 people over in London because they walk out with phones and don’t look. Frustrates the hell out of me as I damage my bike. I don’t care about them. Next one that does it is getting their phone smashed
Saw this story yesterday. He's a "calm and reasonable road user" according to the judge, she was equally to blame, again, according to the judge, he also shouted and sounded his bike horn as the dozy bint just stepped into his path staring at her phone.
Sometimes I just think, "f*ck this country"

"Mr Hazeldean must also foot most of the bill for the two-day court case, which Ms Brushett’s lawyers claim totals about £100,000."
£50k a day for a lawyer?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
10k a day for the lawyer, 40k a day for the judge
any reason the guy didn't or hasn't tried to sue her? might be a way to go

wtf bro
I'm not a big fan of cyclists, but if you wander into the road looking at your phone, you get everything you deserve.

I went into a fellow cyclist doing a similar speed. We both came off our bikes, admitted we were both to blame, shook hands and got on with our lives. I'm just glad now I crashed into a decent bloke, and not a cuuuunt.

This.
As a cyclist and biker....And motorist.
Can't believe tw@ts think they can text smoke and drive when one task is beyond them.
Ah this story.
I remember watching this news story on morning TV yesterday. And I was baffled at how the court was backing the pedestrian’s side of the case a lot more than the cyclist’s case. Even after all the evidence that seemed like it backed up the cyclist’s case, the stupid pedestrian still won.
And the key word being ‘pedestrian’. Well, as the court sees it. That pedestrians - right or wrong, the moment they enter onto the road where vehicles and other road users can enter then it is automatically the pedestrians’ right of way.
Not saying this 100% right. But common sense needs to prevail where applicable, because there are way too many dozy pedestrians who take little or no notice of their surroundings when they cross the road.
I personally think that the government should also start to fine pedestrians who use their phones/ or are distracted by other devices when crossing the road. The problem with that is trying to catch them all out. It’s a needle in a haystack problem trying to catch phone using drivers as it is. But at least action is taken against them when they are caught.

There’s some really bizarre behaviour on Internet forums but trying to come across as a hard man when nobody knows or gives a flying fook who you are tops it all.

I remember the idiot a few months back telling me how he smashes wing mirrors off cars when he sees drivers on their phones.
Dunno what's worse, being that much of a nob or lying about being that much of a nob.
Cyclists should be publicly executed.
Does that include the city fans that cycled to the Brighton game in May for charity?
