although plays a massive part, I think this liverpool team really benefit from being in that system. IMO there are several wingers/wide forwards who could play in that system and be as, or nearly as productive. Bale done a lot on his own.

His last season at Spurs was better, that's why I thought he may have got the seasons mixed up.

There was a period after the turn of the year when he pretty much carried us, and scored many quality goals from outside the box. I think that puts him above Mane last season. More assists than Mane too.

Mane's 2018/19 surpassed Bales imo.

Bale:
146 appearances
42 goals (0.29 per match)
20 assists.

Mane:
159 appearances
66 goals (0.42 per match)
22 assists

that's a lot of appearances in one season.

But that's why you can't just judge stats. Bale was phenomenal at the end for spurs and doing it single handedly, much like hazard. Mane is in one of the best attacking teams the PL has had with a massive fast break and two other class players to rotate with up top.

I would have him over bale for longevity anyway.

It's very tight though.

Bale 12/13
PL 33 starts 21 goals 4 assists
EL 8 starts 3 goals 3 assists

Mane 18/19
PL 35 starts 22 goals 1 assist
CL 13 starts 4 goals 1 assist

Not much in it and mane in a much better team
