Very long tail. Would have burns, denly, Roy, root, stokes, butler, bairstow, woakes, Curran, broad, Anderson(archer if not fit). Need to bat deep as late order runs will make the difference between winning and losing, Curran is essential in that respect.

There's no way we will go into the match without spinner despite the fact that most games probably won't reach tea on the 4th day. Moeen will play although I'd go Leach.

You're right about our lower order though. Unfortunately I don't see it going well with Bairstow and Moeen. Therefore Root, Stokes and Buttler are going to probably have to do the bulk of our run scoring along with Woakes probably.

Maybe the media should put some pressure on Bairstow and fire him up again.

Root batting 3, finally

Denly batting at 4. Not sure swapping the two makes sense but we'll see how it goes.

If Root is moving to 3 then there's no need for Denly to play. We've got better players who can slot in at 4.

Who would make more runs denly or curran in the lower order and everyone else move up a place
Stokes 4?

Not sure I get the logic in swapping Root and Denly. If Root is going to bat at 3 then either Denly should open with Roy at 4 as Denly had more experience opening in red ball, or we should bring in someone else to replace Denly at 4.

It's not like we're struggling for middle order batsman.

Very samey bowling attack, not much variety/pace in it.

Still fancy England to win though

no idea why denly is being picked

Plenty of batting. which I like. doesn't mean they will score runs mind.
As for pace. You don't really need pace in England. the wickets offer you a bit of seam and the ball does swing more.

Plenty of batting but you know England will still do one of them collapses...

Yeah fair point, could be the same reason Starc will not get picked for this test too.

I cant wait for the boos for Bankcroft Warner and Smith,. None of em should be playing in the ashes. But it seems they did their time

Anyone else going tomorrow?

England will win 3-1, Aussies are not all that. England are generally strong at home in tests. I think there could be 1 draw as I expect at least 1 test to be ruined by rain. Could that be the 1st test

posted on 31/7/19

Nah rain wont ruin the game. theres plenty of time to play.. Who ever bats first tomorrow. good luck.

Edgbaston, headingley and old Trafford wins

England will be pulverized, demolished, chinmusiced and Starcced at home. Old pacers, thin batting- its 5-0 Australia.
