Good enough to finish between 6-10th I think.

Don't be silly maf. 6th is the very lowest we will finish.

Look at the defenders and put your hand on your heart and tell me Arsenal will finish in the Top5.

If we dont get an experienced CB in we wont make top 4. Our defense is a worry. Can't rely on Sokratis and Holding who is just back from injury. Chambers is more a DM than a CB. Also our RB situation worries me as well. LB situation even with Tierney is also a worry as Tierney isnt fit.

Can we win a trophy? Yes, we can. We demonstrate that before. Cup games depend also on lucky draws.

Don't even need to bin off the cups. Went to the Europa League final and finished 13 points clear of 7th.

Couldn't care less about a possible Ceballos loan deal. It has shades of 'Denis Suarez Mk 2' written all over it. Another low-risk, low-commitment arrangement where both sides can quickly wash their hands of each other at the first sign of trouble. Another waste of time.

I wouldn't mind seeing a number of the kids being retained though. Not every loanee we send out will be as lucky as Chambers was at Fulham last season. There's plenty of minutes on the pitch to go around.

Especially the pacy ones. Our football was very one-dimensional last season. We could always do with some direct attacking football coming off the bench.

Tierney? Why not? I know it's always a risk buying an 'injury prone' player, but I'm keen. And it's not like we'd be spending £50m on a punt in the market.

Zaha? Some of the prices being quoted are absolutely insane, but he still tops my list. Homegrown, likes to take his man on, and will keep his resale value regardless of impact on the squad.

All in all? There's probably enough bodies in the OP's list to build a campaign on. I'd like to think that Emery has a good grasp of his talent pool by now.

I'd still go for a proven keeper as the No.2 though.

I don’t see why not. It’s pretty weak in defence and midfield but there’s lots of goals in this Arsenal team.

Outside the top two there is not much in it Spurs fans will no doubt protest but look how many games they lost hardly world beaters, it’s a bun fest for top four

With Ramsey in the side. If you get Ceballos in, maybe.

The so-called 'Top 6' is pretty much a closed shop. We've just finished within sniffing distance of the Champions League with barely 5 away wins over an entire campaign.

Wouldn't be within the realms of impossibility if we ground out a few more away draws and finished ahead of Frankie and Olé's sides.

Ramsey didn't play that much, tbf - 14 starts I believe.

Ok. Who's taking those games if you don't sign Ceballos? Elneny?

Elneny played even less last season.

If a new winger comes in we will change our style a bit, I reckon. Laca up front flanked by Auba and new man. That means the midfield will be a 3 - Xhaka, Torreira most likely starters, with Guendouzi, Ozil, Iwobi, Willock, Smith-Rowe options for the 3rd man.

Think top 3 will be City, Lpool and Spurs. I think Chelsea will struggle. So really I think Arsenal just need to be better than Man Utd, and at the moment i can’t see a lot of difference between you. Both have shoddy defences, are top heavy and have big name players that go missing sometimes.

Who is 1 Starring this article? Not that anyone really cares about the 1-Star Ghost that haunts the Arsenal board (I guess it's a Spurs fan?) but I gave it 5 for balance, and it's at least an interesting article on a board that has had regular bouts of tumbleweed rolling through it this Summer.

I'm really excited about Martinelli, some similarities between him and Gabriel Jesus I think (and not just the nationality).

I'm devastated that we will have another season with Mustafi in the squad... I'm disappointed we haven't shifted Xhaka on but with no replacement for even Ramsey yet that won't be happening anytime soon by the looks of it.

I'm concerned about CB like you are too, if Holding or Sokratis get injured we are screwed again, perhaps we could get a decent CB on loan to cover.

Bellerin isn’t great but he’s going to be like a new signing for Arsenal next season. I do think Arsenal are being underestimated a bit. They’ve got enough goals in the team to be there or thereabouts.

posted on 22/7/19

It wouldn’t be terrible, but we really need a CB ready to play for next year. Don’t think chambers will be quite good enough, kos is pretty much done, even if he does stay he’s older and injury prone. Mustafi is terrible, leaves only Sokratis and holding as decent enough options and it remains to be seen how long it’ll take holding to get match sharp

Not much in it between Spurs, Arsenal, United and Chelsea imo.

Other than the odd 5-7 game run, none of them has the playing/managerial talent to keep up with the Top 2 juggernauts.

cant see Arsenal doing any better than 6th.

Depends how Everton and Wolves progress, but could be worse.

if you dont improve the squad significantly before the window shuts how can you expect to improve.

Guess we have to ask the same question about a team who finished s massive 1 point ahead of us last season
