Excuse for what? Doing a great job on a small budget
This is not a dig. Because I’d cheerfully take Harry Kane at Chelsea if Tammy doesn’t make the step up
But as loyal as he’s been so far, do you think there’s an acceptable time where he says to Levy
“c’mon there are seriously lesser players in our league at other clubs, on much better wages, pay me what they’re getting or I’m gone……….”
I know Levy could easily respond with that the other clubs’ foolishness. But would you sympathise with Kane in that situation?
The same way Klopp took Liverpool as far as he could and then had to change his views on spending silly money and spent awful lot to win a trophy
Poch can take Spurs even further in my view. If you add depth to the squad that went all the way in CL without any heavy financial outlay, unlike Liverpool, then I believe this side has yet to achieve its maximum
When the side has achieved something - winning few trophies, and there is depth in the squad, then you can say Poch has taken as far as he could.
Has Pep taken City as far as he could?
As Klopp taken Liverpool as far as he could?
In the case of Klopp, I can;t see this current Liverpool side winning the title, because of how good City are, so it is a genuine question to ask.
Pep wins the league and then buys players better than their opponents starting XI to use as back up next season.

Yep. Kane might be 'one of your own' but why would he stay somewhere, win zilch and earn 3 times less than he would elsewhere. Although having said that he aint the brightest tool in the box so who knows?
Kane is actually getting paid a high wage in comparison with most PL players. With bonus he is probably getting £300k per week and when fit he is likely to always hit them bonuses.
And just to add to that he is probably the only player in the current squad who justifies it.

Wasn't aware of that so fair play. Still think you boys need to start justifying the hype about how good you are by winning a few pots though. Poch doesn't seem to agree that the cups are worth trying for which makes it all the more harder for you lot to break your trophy duck.
Levy for me is a bigger force in Tottenham's success than Poch. Sure, Pochettino has financial restrictions, but Spurs over the last 5 years successfully assembled one of the most valuable teams in the division. Afterall, for years, I've been told no Arsenal player (other than when we had Alexis) would make Tottenham's team. So it's not like Poch is managing Crystal Palace to such heights.
His failure to win a trophy is a big dent on his managerial CV. There are no excuses for some of the Cup competitions Spurs have bottled over the years under him.
Poch does not need any excuses for his Spurs record. He's done wonderfully well.

I know Jose won you trophies and helped you complete the European trophy set, but back in 2016 I genuinely feared you getting Poch more than I feared you getting Jose. In spite of their contrasting CVs.
as good as we think he is....WTF
It may have escaped some people's notice, but Spurs have won precisely one mick cup in ten years....they have zero winning mentality year on year when it comes to the crunch...& Poch must shoulder some of that blame.
I personally would not swap our current success rate and transfer ban for their shiny new stadium and empty trophy cabinet for one second.
