Poor old Bluebell, imagine having no real political convictions or beliefs.

Just leave it all up to God mate.

Be careful mate, otherwise you will be consumed with fire and brimstone.

Not exactly rocket science to see that any decent opposition leader would be mullering a government this incompetent in the polls. Corbyn simply isn't, says it all.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think that comment says everything to know what is wrong with British Politics, putting personalities over policies. Just because Corbyn doesn`t follow the normal mode of a politician that says one thing, then does another, doesn`t mean he isn`t competent.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I never called him incompetent, I said the government is.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

OK mate. Is that awful Charles Walker your local MP, he really only spouts rubbish about Corbyn. Walker was the only MP to accept his 11 per cent pay rise.

well if you're happy for your hard earned estates to be given to folk who haven't earned it crack on.

My parents and partners parents estates are in trust as will mine be when the arrangements are made.

I take your kids will be happy with your POV

how do you feel about the inheritance tax policy they want to bring in then
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a decent apolitical view on Labour's plans.

https://www.taxjournal.com/articles/labour-s-tax-policies-under-corbyn

Can see what they're trying to do (which on the face of it appears to have some merit) but I don't think large sways of the press will ever portray their plans fairly.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
"Once the lifetime allowance has been exceeded, consequently inheritances would be taxed not just at the 40% level but often at 45% or 50% under these new rules"

So you think taxing folk this amount on inheritance is reasonableand you will would be happy for your kids or whoever to have this percentage taken out of your estate
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Working class people don't have estates mate, they usually have a two up, two down gaff.

Fair enough, I did highlight the plans weren't perfect.

But surely you agree *something* needs to be done to address the taxation inequality?

"You will not need a visa for short trips if you’re a tourist, according to European Commission proposals. You could stay for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. You may need a visa or permit to stay for longer, to study or for business travel."

Inheritance tax is theft

My dad worked all his life, beyond retirement age to pay off the mortgage on the house. After he died it was up to my mum to manage the house and raise kids while not working.

The house is in London and is worth close to £1m. I would be spitting feathers if we have to pay a massive IHT bill when my mum passes away.

get it in trust lad or your be paying 40-50% on that or maybe change ownership but that can cause issues down the line if she passes before 7 years as well
