Wolves have made a complaint to fifa about the way supporters were treated in Braga after the draconian security arrangements lead to some not getting into the ground until after half time

Hope we manage to rack up as many points as possible between now and 20th Feb as the priority should rightly be going as far as we can in the Europa. Dates for your diary:

Round of 32 - 20 February 2020 & 27 February 2020
Round of 16 - 12 March 2020 & 19 March 2020
Quarter-finals - 9 April 2020 & 16 April 2020
Semi-finals - 30 April 2020 & 7 May 2020
Final - 27 May 2020 at Stadion Energa GdaƄsk

So after our semi-final win on 7th May we have only 2 league games (H Palace, A Chelsea) to solidify our top 4 place. It's going to be tough.

The draw for the Last 32 stage takes place on Monday Dec 16. If we are top of our group the first leg is away otherwise first leg at home

Chelsea's transfer ban has been halved so they will be allowed to operate in the January window. They successfully appealed and the ban was reduced after they were found not to have breached the rules 150 times, but ONLY 50 times.

Seems fair to me.

That bloody stinks. The temptation must be there for them to spend the Hazard money, but if they have any sense they'll stick with bringing the kids through for now.

Im jumping ahead a bit here but will be interesting to see how Nuno approaches the Besiktas game. He'll no doubt make changes and take the opportunity to rest a few, but to what extent? Is winning the group that important, are we confident enough to put out a second string on Thursday and take whatever the draw throws at us?

Much prefer these sort of dilemmas we have these days to the one's we're used to.

Looking at the possibilities i am not sure there is much in it quality wise, only half the CL teams will be seeded which will leave some good sides unseeded. Roma currently sit second in their EL group as well as an example of another unseeded possibility.

Dortmund or Inter will be one in our draw, both would be among the favourites to win the whole thing.

I assume we can't face another English club in the 32 can we?

Yes that's right, nor can we play Braga again in the last 32. Draw is completely open from the last 16 on.

Interesting figures on how much we've earned thus far in the Europa league (5,360,000 euros). If we win the group it's another 1 million euros, runner up 500,000.

Round 32 (secured) 500,000 extra
Round 16 1,100,000 extra
Q/F 1,500,00 extra
S/F 2,400,000 extra
Losing finalist 4,500,000
Winner 8,500,000

A far cry from only a few years ago.

I suspect we will see a much changed team. Must remember that Besiktas cannot qualify so I doubt they will field anywhere near their strongest team. So I would expect to see Kilman, Bennett, Cutrone and Neto for sure and maybe one or two kids

May 2019

Everton finishes 8th
Watford finish 11th and FA cup finalists

Dec. 2019

Everton 18th, relegation place
Watford 20th , relegation place

Couldn't happen to two more deserving clubs, just want Bournemouth to join them to make a perfect hattrck.

Being in Europe and having a poor summer window has really knocked us back - after 15 games last season we were 12th.
