Absolutely, and he's one of the best fielder's in the world too with bucket hands and the ability to pull off stunning catches that you'd barely call half chances.

His biggest challenge will be to change LiverpoolWhoElse's mind about him

I have defended Buttler in the past but he seems to be struggling at the moment. We were 350 for 5 so you don't need to play cautiously in this instance. If there is a ball to whack out the ground then whack it out the ground like you would in an ODI.

However I don't think anyone is in disagreement that Foakes should be given the gloves. He's a class above Buttler with bat and gloves at the longer form of the game.

Yup. I'm the same, I like Buttler and want him to succeed, but I think the credit he built up in 2018 is kinda gone now. He's now had several situations that he's supposedly in the team for - good platform laid for him to come in and smash a few - and he's failed.

Foakes' poor 2019 came at the worst possible time but hopefully he'll scratch some early season form together and make it into the Windies team

Pope is very understandably nervy out there but fair play he's battling on, he could do with a couple of nice floaty half volleys to smash to the boundary. Curran may well reach his 100 first
