The Darcy talks are they being done by the EFL been going on a long time now haven't they especially given the season would have been over in normal times.

Pasty, It would be a pity if the club had to leave the UniBol. However, it could come down to that and let's face it, although the gates are reasonable for first division club, it's been a long time since we got anywhere near anything like a full house. So maybe a smaller ground would be a better plan,
Having said that, if FV could come up with a plan that works, it would show the ambition to rise up the leagues again.
We don't know what will happen in the future and whether or not FV can cope with the effects of the Corona Virus and be able to cut their cloth to suit the budget remains to be seen. The fans have already been through the wringer, Let's hope that it doesn't happen again.
As for Rowan Darcy, I get the feeling that he will be away before too long. If he wanted to stay I think he would have signed and if he doesn't sign within the next week. It will be over, he won't be staying.
ah the revolving door is working again remember to leave every other compartment free as part of social distancing. Wastage has always been high among the youth players it's the ones that come back to bite you that hurt the most.
Wish the departures well they stood up to be counted in hour of need I hope they all do well wherever they land they'll be sure of a warm welcome should they ever return.
I see there will be a meeting of the EFL tomorrow. According to the BN abandoning the season is not on the list of choices for clubs to vote on. Under that scenario, BWFC will be relegated.
Is that fair? We have already learned that the second division will not have any team relegated this season. My question is what is the difference? The difference is that the other teams in division one will not have a collective will to save the clubs in the bottom three although Tranmere has more than a decent chance to escape relegation.
If Tranmere is saved, why not all three? Each of the bottom three teams could stay up as unlikely as that seems.
On another subject, Emmanuel would like to extend his time with Bolton if finances allow.

It's a typical EFL pickle league 2 know what they are doing the championship is in no mans lands and league 1 can't decide what to vote on.
Based on the BEN report and barristers buying new cars in Scotland expect it to go like our high court dates with adjournments or maybe an announcement to say they they will announce something after they have made an announcement on the meeting and have announced the date of the next meeting
On a more serious note the BBC have a piece from our old friend Darren Pratley now at Charlton which makes interesting reading. I'd keep football closed for now it's unethical to have this rush to return without being able to say its safe for everybody.

Pasty, you could well have hit the nail on the head and postponements may be announced. I've said before the EFL isn't fit for purpose. It's obvious that the season should be abandoned and no relegation or promotions should be actioned. As for clubs being given a vote, it really is ridiculous as any vote would depend on a clubs position in the league. It could be another episode where the EFL hasn't got the cajones to make a decision, leaves it to the clubs, and then doesn't agree with the outcome. I have recent memories of that happening in the very recent past.
As for Darren's thoughts, He is spot on not only for the black and ethnic players and staff but for the safety of everyone concerned.
With the Prem suffering positives after some testing another round of tests will be required the lower leagues can't afford all the testing required to even think about a return so is it back to square one for the EFL voting options they'll need more meetings to decide on a new ballet paper wording.
As for non contact training they're 'avin a laugh. Maybe they think the ginger gardeners medicine ball method has some magic healing powers our injury list couldn't withstand that could it.
Delayed
The EFL apologises for the delay a replacement ballot option service might be possible next week with a voting service just over the horizon.
All fans are asked to sing the very fitting EFL song Road To Nowhere by Talking Heads to lift the spirits and remind yourself of the new EFL mission statement.

Who left the door open there's a draft
Beware the latest BEN story in there you will see the magic words "draft proposal" which means there's nowt to vote on and nowt happening the meeting to decide the wording and an actual ballot paper remains in dreamland.
To make it a proper farce I think every club should vote to carry on and complete the season and then all the players should refuse to sign the opt out papers for returning to training now that would be fun.
Think I'll skip the play offs they don't look that inviting this year I'd wager the lowest crowds for the weekend since they began.
A lot of rumours going on that someone in a senior position is leaving the club. Emma or Tobias? Who knows. I have a lot of despair about what is happening at the momemt. Just want to get back to talking retained lists, transfers, next seasons fixture list, season tickets. When will it be safe to start the summer thread?
If the rumoured squad sizes of 20 are the new rules how far off that we we ?
As for announcements keep an eye on the other clubs there's more than a hand full on the brink looking at admin especially with no fans allowed until whenever.
Have a read of the EFL Protocol for return to training.
If anybody fancies working out the costs of all the Covid extra's in there feel free to borrow the Abacus. The amount of testing, cleaning and PPE will be costly but savings in the kitchen which can only provide take away.
Why are we even bothering anyway do we have enough to make a 1st 11 and a bench and allow for injuries and anybody self isolating or refusing to sign the disclaimer.

I was losing the will to live reading that. Scrap the thought of finishing the season and wait until the government give contact sports the go-ahead to resume proper training.
This waiting game is getting more tedious by the day.
If we have just a squad of 20 under kh we won't be able to put a side out after 10 games with all the injuries .
Walter mitty is back https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11684/11993439/laurence-bassini-confirms-charlton-takeover-interest-but-bolton-also-an-option
https://youtu.be/QDIpbLlz-sA A classic season, an old roadrunner video I think. 93-94 the first season back in the 2nd tier of the league for over 10 years.
Well I know what I'm going to be doing for an hour and a half of my day tomorrow.
It's going to be a ding dong do.
Why does it look like the BEN are hoping for some financial woes to strike us does MI have a stack of maps to the high court he needs to shift.
He has two stories regarding our finances. One that the club is keeping tight-lipped over problems and another that the Sun is citing financial problems.
I can't read either as my new allocation of stories has expired and I still can't manage the browsing history. The first instruction from Microsoft is to turn on sync. How do I do that? I have the rest of the instructions so your help in this matter would be greatfully accepted.
swie in win10 go to settings then accounts, sync settings are in there at the bottom of the sub menu pane on the left hand side, you need a Microsoft account if you want to sync across other devices.
With the BEN its wise to remember FV like to keep mum over what they are doing I know there are lots of problems at the club but we have to trust FV for now we don't want to let Laurence B think he's in with a shout do we
More headlines on the big vote what is the EFL's game has anybody told them football isn't real without the fans and that's where they should be concentrating their efforts getting things back to normal football with fans through the turnstiles without that the EFL will have fewer clubs and less money for themselves.
Let's not worry about that for now lets have a round of voting for L1 before we move on to more rounds of voting to change the rules before anything can happen
The EFL should be sponsored by Ariston and Duracell.
Pasty I will try to re-set my browsing later.
No, we certainly do not want LB getting involved with BWFC. I do trust FV to do its best for the club. I think that they have the best interest of our club at heart. It's such a great pity that this crisis has hit the club so early in its tenure of ownership. It must be difficult to deal with.
