Very sensible to adjust your plans. Oz has the potential to be spared some of the worst case scenarios due to the NHS here and other pop dynamics factors, but would still be a mess to come back to to start a new chapter.

Magnum, a fantasy has no basis in reality. Your suggestion that China will be cut off and people stopped from going in and out of the country fits that criteria.
Dave, you may be right. But I was talking more in the future - not this current presidential race - and how the fall out of this pandemic may shape opinion and policy in a slightly different direction regarding healthcare and welfare. I won’t hold my breath, of course, but it’s possible.

Magnum, a fantasy has no basis in reality. Your suggestion that China will be cut off and people stopped from going in and out of the country fits that criteria.
Dave, you may be right. But I was talking more in the future - not this current presidential race - and how the fall out of this pandemic may shape opinion and policy in a slightly different direction regarding healthcare and welfare. I won’t hold my breath, of course, but it’s possible.

My point is that major global corporations already have significant manufacturing capacity in LATAM. Thats a fact.
Many have plans to develop that further. That's also a fact.
LATAM has significant access to labour and an increasingly educated population with a focus on business and technology.
What bit of that tells you that I think the region shpuld be raaaped and pillaged?
