Just two titles for Clough in over 20 years in management. Comparing Clough to Fergie is unfair, due to financial reasons, though lets not forget Clough did break the world transfer record.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Promotion and title with unfashionable club derby.
Loads of titles and cups with another unfashionable club forest.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
One title with Forest. It's his European achievements that make him stand out. They were unique.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Stein did it with 11 local lads born within a few miles of celtic. That beats clough imo

What Clough did with Derby and Forest was extraordinary. He achieved more, with less, than any manager in the history of the game.
But it is hard to look beyond Sir Alex Ferguson.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cloughie was a great and idiosyncratic manager. But he didn't do it with nothing. He bought a goalie and striker at record prices.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Only because of his success alone.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Correct.
He generated wealth thru success, invested in the team and repeat...
Amazing achievements.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Without the foundations of an empire behind him - the likes of which Ferguson has at his disposal
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He could only do as well as he did at Aberdeen

Yeah that's crazy. A point to Clough for defending the cup
Bob Paisley should feature highly here too.
Not only a hugely successful Mananger but a true gentleman with great respect for football played at all levels.
Clough.
My only other contribution is to say I’m amazed to see Leeds fans calling him “fergie”.

He won more in 5 years in charge at Liverpool, than most do in their entire career 👍🏼

Only last week I called Norman Hunter "Bite yer legs", and on many occasions I've called Lee Bowyer by his nickname, 'Vile racist c-nt'

Strange Huddersfield fan suffering from self isolation syndrome...article is about 'great managers' so he wants to drop Lee Bowyer into his post...wonder what the motivation is for that...as far as I'm aware there is no reference to Bowyer at all.
The Ferguson denial, head in the sand Leeds fan side instantly went when he retired 😂.. same with Peter Schmichael being the best keeper ever to have played in the premiership.. once he retired I just thought, yeah fair play 😂
