You can't even attend funerals unless you're a close family member yet people are suggesting 100's of people could get together to stage a football match.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It should be one of the last things to be opened.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
i don't agree ODB, football is very important to the psyche of the population. if they can be safely played behind closed doors with minimum people involved i cant think of a better way to keep people entertained while in lockdown.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Better translated as "we won't ever get a better chance of promotion than the one we have got ourselves into. Please don't take it away from us"....
If this had happened 2 years ago, the for and against arguments would be the same, just the cast members making them would have been completely different. Natural of course, but it amuses me how folk are forming their opinions on health and social matters based on where their team is in the league table. Works the same at both ends of the table too.

History in the making.
Sky and BT could air special memorial programmes.

2028 two dippers in a bar.
Dip1- do you remember the team of 19/20?
Dip2- they were so good, could have gone on to dominate for years.
Dip1- pity we killed them all by forcing them to go back early. Still at least we got to see them lift the trophy on tv.

Fing hell this is pretty hardcore in the current climate
These caped crusaders need to calm down.
Football supports thousands of jobs, businesses and families just like any other business. Do these people and families not matter? If Government is helping other businesses to get on their feet, then why not football?
Should they just allow hundreds of clubs to fold and lose all those jobs? I saw someone mention that Spurs alone have over 3,000 employees. Do their jobs mean less because its just football? As staff remain on furlough, this burden is being transfered to taxpayers.
This is not 1941. Get with the times. This is an industry supporting other industries on it's own.
To be honest there's a lot of teams with little to play for, no fans, momentum and form all out the window, injured players returning, contracts will expire etc.
I think it'll do more harm tha than good. Hand scousers the title and do what they did in Holland.
Yeah, let's fight the Virus like men.
OK, they'll be a few martyrs but they will go straight to Football Paradise.
