The table is based on mathmatics, not on assumptions.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you think City can catch us?

Bet you can’t just give a simple yes or no.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Boris has not been able to get his head round this

Nobody wants football to resume until it is safe.
++

Incorrect.

TV companies, Clubs, Sponsors, Chairmen and owners....and Liverpool fans... all want it to resume as soon as possible (which isn't the same as until it is safe). Players don't want it and also most other paying spectators.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What a bizarre comment.

What's wrong with wanting to be crowned champs?
++

Do you see this pandemic as something that happens to other people? Have you not had a connection to anybody who has died yet?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This means we shouldn't want to be Champs?

Get the fack outta town with this hogwash.

As an aside, how cringe is the name "Project Restart"? Just plan to restart it, it doesn't need a facking name

True. Reminds me of #Flopback when United signed Pogba. Just no need

Unfortunately its the way of things these days.

I cannot tell you how much I hate the brand name "team GB", its the fackin Great British Olympic team not some horrible Americanism but I've had to learn to live with it.

2018 - 100 goals, 100 points

2019 - The Fourmidables

2020 - Incomplete season, only 28 games completed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Nah. It'll be a 38 game season. CL probably wont get finished though. That'll mean com July we'll be:-

Champions of England
European Champions
Super European Champions
World Champions

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Desperate for the league to be finished yet more than happy for the cups to be cancelled. And they still don’t see it.

Biggest problem for me with restarting is how they plan on stopping large crowds gathering outside stadiums, hotels & bus routes etc. Then once there is a plan for that, how do you counter the inevitable gathering of friends & families at each others houses to watch games.

Take Liverpool for example. They're two wins away from winning the league and you can't seriously expect everybody is going to adhere to social distancing during the run in.

Two wins needed from 9 games and I definitely wont be able to resist the urge to parade down the street naked, amongst as many Liverpool supporters as possible, revelling in the fact they facked it up once it again

The league is more important to them than peoples safety it seems.

Nah. But I’ll trust the people who have been risk assessing the situation ahead of some bitter nobody on the internet.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe people aren’t bitter they just value lives over a game of football. I understand it’s tough for you given you are desperate to win the league.

Maybe think more before commenting.

Nope it's bitterness. Liverpool fans have said all along that we want football to return when it is safe to do so, but you get the odd few idiots such as yourself who ignore the "when it is safe to do so" part and create the narrative that we don't care about people dying as long as we win the league. It's quite low really, and you should think more before commenting

This is something that will resume solely to get it over with. It'll be crap to watch, crap to play in and a legal minefield when players contracts run out and the window opens on 01/06.

Just give Liverpool the title and everybody is happy.

Another potato that thinks it cares more about covid than other people.

Is there like a factory that produces these numpties or what?

More haters I see.

The arguments along the lines of people can't be expected to social distance and the impact on nhs etc etc are all just excuses.

People got social distancing 6 weeks ago. done
nhs? clearly the government briefings have escaped those peddling this one.

What about next season which will also start behind closed doors?

Didn't think that through, did you?

Anyone who says we facked it up is mental

But we will get it one way or another I think. Either by the league being completed, or by being awarded it by the current standings.

Nothing. It’s the desperate need to complete the season against safety in sone cases. Most posters just want you to be awarded the title, no matter how it finishes you’ll have some who don’t count it because of the disruption. The safest thing to do is bin the season and award the title to you.

Delay it until September.

Gives football a clean break. People's argument that the integrity of the game is undermined by not finishing the season are ignoring every aspect of the situation.

Where is the fairness and integrity in playing behind closed doors, teams losing their form and fitness, teams motivation after such a break, transfer and contract disputes etc.

A 3 month break in a season doesn't make it a season. It makes it a fallacy with an asterisk against any teams success or failures (Liverpool aside).

It's highly likely to be behind closed doors in September, plus if there is a second wave then there may be another long break.

I think by September, if social distancing is adhered to, the NHS will have dealt with the worst of it and lockdown will only come into play should they struggle again.

A lot of my clients are opening against 11th of May, businesses need to start opening again or face closing.
