OK for the second time, despite you repeated requests, I won't be "facking" you.
Your posting history prior to your club benefitting from a cash rich investor exposes your motives, so I will not post on that point again.
What has this to do with factory workers, whom I hope when they return to work will do so safely.
I again ask how will Premier League players social distance during a match?
Yo Foxes..
They said to restart in June... are you saying that you hope the situation in June will be as it is now, so that the thrust of your argument will be correct?
That tests will still need to be rationed for more critical people?

What a childish article.
Testing a few players won't make one jot of difference to the testing of anybody else.
Oh and as for the pathetic remark '...to deliver you a trophy that has evaded you (but not us) for thirty years...' well as I recall your little club went 132 years without becoming champions of this country. Took us the whole of 9 years.
Poor little Leicester.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
OMG another bin dipper prepared to let countless die in the pursuit of a piece of silverware, have the trophy, you deserve it, let the people who would undoubtedly perish by continuing the season live
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What??? Fack me, lets over dramatise shall we. Presumably you eat, so by your reckoning you have blood on your hands as people have undoubtedly died from working in food plants to supply the general public with the basics.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Firstly, I will certainly not be doing that, after that, no I don't believe I've risked any supermarket workers during my shopping as I have complied with social distancing requirements. tell me, how will any defence do that whilst trying to stop an attack from scoring. My God you're queuing up to appear a bunch of vile selfish vile vultures prepared to feed off the corpses of victims to celebrate a title you've already won and which all of football is happy to award you
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I am a Wolves fan for feck sake. The players will be quarantined and tested, they will not be passing anything between each other.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
OK a Wolves fan who upon realising his club has no significance in English football aligned himself to Liverpool football club to WUM the Leicester board, so will be treated as such. Again I ask how players who are unlikely to group in an unlikely successful quarantine will social distance on the pitch
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wow.

Let’s just get some perspective. We are talking about playing football behind closed doors with players being tested before games. This would likely be in a 3 weeks time minimum when testing has increased significantly which is likely to be one of the caveats from ministers discussing this with the premier league.
By that point restrictions may have eased in any case - it can be done safely and it can be done without costing lives.

It is a fine balance.
There is a way that football could perhaps continue but its then a question of whether its right & fair onthe players & staff & others involved and whether its t e right thing to do.
While many would love to see football again and it would boost the morale of millions you also have to remember that football is a big target for the haters - the uproar from players not taking cuts (even though this only benefits their clubs/owners), being singled out above any other sport or big business. A restart could potentially be a PR disaster.
Football is singled out as being different when it should not. Imagine if you employers demanded you to come to work quarantine from your family for weeks & weeks just to get your non essential work done. This is expected of footballers simply because they earn a lot but they would have every right to refuse.
Personally, i do not like the plan to do this in a small number of secure stadiums. Behind closed doors undermines the integrity to a degree but neutral grounds undermines it to such an extent that it just seems like playing football for the sake of playing. I would not expect any relegation-threatened club to agree to complete the season it in this way, especially if the alternative is to void which other major leagues are now doing/looking at.

They're not going to test them now. They're going to test them when it starts back, having passed the points the government outlined to them, one of them being test widely available to the public.
Your mistake here is taking the current situation and applying it to the future. Testing has now began to increase and will do so for several weeks now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm afraid your mistake is believing in the ability of the government and NHS to manage the testing necessary to steer us out of this stranglehold that does now and will continue to ravage the population, that and being a bloody Liverpool fan who is willing to ignore the consequences of gathering a minimum of 250 people in one space where players cannot possibly self distance during play all to deliver you a trophy that has evaded you (but not us) for thirty years
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If that happens then the plans will change. As I said, it will only happen when the points the government have outlined have been passed. You're continuing to repeat the same mistake of applying the current situation to the future. Your point would make sense if the league was starting back up now but since it isn't and the plans are to start back up from June onwards, your point doesn't make sense. At least not yet.
Being a Liverpool fan has no bearing on ones ability to see into the future as being a Leicester fan doesn't mean that all Leicester fans are imbeciles.
I've been going to work this whole time, I'm not sure why footballers can't go to work in a couple of months time, if the points outlined are passed, at which point some shops and schools are planned to open, as well as thousands of work places across the country.

OP has had a shocker on this thread.
I do fear that the combination of our government's incompetence and the premier league's desperation for money will lead to games getting played and additional people (whether it be players, media, staff) getting the virus unnecessarily.
I don't know why scousers are so desperate to play at any cost. You will be given the title whether the season is finished now or the summer.
It's far more in the interest of clubs like Spurs/Arsenal/United to keep the season going, but the fans of these clubs seem more interested in public health

I am happy to see Liverpool win the title- undoubtedly deserve it and not against them being given it without the games being played if a PPG scenario can be agreed.
My team loses out if the season isn’t finished. I am desperate for football to return WHEN SAFE TO DO SO.
Perhaps there is a reason all Liverpool fans want it concluded whereas others have a range of opinions.

Just to clarify you don’t think Liverpool fans have gone on to threads such as this shutting down anyone who doesn’t think the season should/can be finished this side of the summer and proposing sensible alternatives?
The thing is it doesn't look like it's going to be safe to do so for months. The French, Belgians and Dutch governments have already ruled that, I don't see why it would be any different here. Even the Germans are having a set back after lifting restrictions.
Imo the government should be taking it out of the hands of the PL but we know how hopeless they are. Boris will probably see the premier league getting started when European leagues have closed as some type of vindication for Brexit.

I haven't seen that no. I've seen them giving their opinion, which at the moment matches what the PL and the government have agreed in the plans they have set out, which include, when safe to do so, starting back behind closed doors, extending contracts until season end, making games available on TV, moving the transfer window, making testing available, when the governments points have all been passed.

Yesterday I had a long chat with a mate whos a season ticket holder at Villa. He is very against behind closed doors at neutral venues and I don't blame him as they have 10 games left and 6 are at home.
As others have said all integrity goes out of the window.

Well he's just going to have to suck it up like everybody else. Things will not be the same for the foreseeable and people have to get on with life, despite the changes they have to make.
Integrity? I suppose your option of keeping the integrity of the season is to void it?

Naaah, some integrity goes out the window.
The season would have to be voided in order for all integrity to go out the window.

You can’t have a conversation with them. Their arguments are based on their desperation to finish a season not on lives.
I think if they had won the league more recently they may have been more self aware.

I feel you've wasted a lot of words and reasoning here on a wum who only uses this site to get digs in at liverpool supporters whenever possible.

Why is it 'us v them'? You have just stated your preferred option exactly matches what many Liverpool fans have said. "football to return WHEN SAFE TO DO SO".
