Transfer news and rumours

A guy on mol mix is claiming we've agreed deals with Tomas Esteves and Diogo Leite, both from Porto. Plus two others that he can't reveal.

He may well be just an attention seeking WUM but he seems quite insistent.

Porto fans must be wondering WTFs happening, they couldn't stand Nuno as manager and now he's nicking all their players. (If the rumours are to be believed)

All three he has mentioned are raw as feck is the only concern. Very few games between them at the top level.

October 24th seems to be the date earmarked by the government to allow football fans back into stadiums. Good news for Wolves as that day is a home game against the Magpies.

Go away for a few days and we go ahead and sign one of the hottest prospects in world football and more signings on the way this week. Well done Jeff, shouldn’t have had doubts

We just crossed over into North Dakota, Fargo in fact. The wife is delighted at now having been to all fifty States, quite an achievement for an American. The final state of the lower 48 for me.

Sounds like we have got us a top class defender and well experienced, just what we needed- Marcal

Traditional lb or lwb plus can play cb ticks all the boxes and for 2m

A Brazilian too. Been with Lyon in their Champions League run to the semis this year. Should fill the void left By Jonny’s Injury, although maybe Vinagre will be ready to give him a battle for a starting place.

And evidently a midfield player arriving this week too.

It’s Christmas

Excellent signing! Now a RWB and an attacking Midfielder please little Jeff - Xièxiè

People say we have a tiny squad and whilst true we're fortunate to have so many utility players but I do feel we need a proper midfield powerhouse

Looking forward to seeing silva and how we fit him in, not sure if he's ready to start every game but at that outlay he'll surely feature heavily

Know what you're saying about the midfield Tino, but it's rather strange talking about a midfiled problem when we have Neves, Moutinho and Dendoncker.

posted on 6/9/20

Well at least we now have an 18 man squad without utilising any U23's. We would have to use Traore as a RWB though so we are not quite there yet.

Man U fans seem to think that because we have signed Silva, we must be going to sell Jimmy to them.

Hope not.

Feck'n dreamers. He's far too good for them

Thing is, they think he;s far too good for us.

Silva is one for the future I'd imagine him being here to learn from Raul not replace

posted on 6/9/20

Yeah I think folks will be disappointed if they think we have signed an ever present 20 goals this season guy. If he gets ten I think he will have done very well.

posted on 6/9/20

I think the thing is with these signings is that it’s not about who is going to replace who, it’s about getting close to the point of being able to start with any 11 from 18 or 20 and being confident that team will be good at this level. Silva hopefully will give us something different up front and he is more of a central striker than Traore, Podence, and Neto. I hope we will sign an attacking midfield player to give something different to Neves and Dendoncker and allow us the use Moutinho more sparingly rather than expecting him to play 50 games a season in his 30s

We do seem to be a wee bit top heavy with our attacking options.

Jimenez, Jota, Podence, Traore, Neto, Campana and now Silva, leaves me to believe we will be selling either Jimenez or Traore.

At least with the signing of Marcal, we have the option of playing Saiss in midfield, if required.

Campana is just a speculative buy like Mir. Doubt we will see him this season.
