I think Marcal has been better in a back three too, so might not be a direct replacement for either of the two we are missing.

Telles is absolute quality top 5 LB's in the world now, so for that reason we won't sign him.

Esteves is a RB with potential but is he first team ready?

I heard some talk of Danny Rose, that wouldn't be the worst short term fix on the left

Interestingly, it seems Jordao is moving to famalicao to replace a familiar name - Pedro Goncalves - who left us to them for free last summer and has now won a 7m move to Sporting after an apparently outstanding season.

I think you are probably right Oldgold but rumour has it that Vinagre is going to Porto.
If Vinagre stays we still only have 16 fit outfield players in the squad so I wouldn't be surprised to see Oscar Buur included and another couple of U23 players.

I still can't help thinking that selling Doc without a replacement was a huge mistake. Time will tell I suppose.

Agree gem. It looked we had things lined up for Doc to go and Maitland-Niles to come in which would have been fine but to let him go without a replacement doesn’t look sensible, in the short term at least

And I think Traore and Vinagre is the most likely combination on Monday, although maybe Marcal will be on the left

Dunno anything about him to be honest. Been linked on and off all summer so maybe something in it. More likely than Telles i would think.

Corona is supposed to be very good. Would be an upgrade on Doc I think.

Plus it is a great name for us to sign during the pandemic.
